Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomNo bar though not essential due to bars downstairs, no toilet in lobby and quite a walk to room even though on floor 1, was a lift for some of the way but were stairs to tackle with suitcases, bottled water or refill water bottle downstairs would also be useful.

Room great, staff helpful, it was comfortable and clean. Receptionists very helpful and sorted any issues and answered any questions. Gave us opening times of surrounding places

United KingdomUnfortunately, the bed head was ripped, which didn't look great. The room is designed with the bed pushed against the window wall, which was difficult to get out if there was someone else in the bed. The bed is also on the very hard side.
The period features are beautiful, and everywhere was bright and clean. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The location is excellent, although in the city centre we did not hear excessive noise overnight.

United KingdomMassive TV situated in the centre of the room was a bit daunting. Would have liked it on the wall. But I guess some folk would like this. Think the double glazing could be a bit better.
friendly, helpful staff and spotless room. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and brilliant shower. Great location for shops, transport and events. Especially loved the central staircase and the original Victorian tiles, and how sensitively the building has been restored. Also all the places to eat in the beautiful Victorian Atrium - you don't have to go outside to find wonderful food. Particularly recommend Pho Vietnamese restaurant.

Great location and facilities. Friendly helpful staff. About 4 mins walk from car park. Right in the middle of the city and opposite the Arndale shopping centre with lots of life to see outside but not noisy in the room. We will be returning.
