The kettle in the room was temperamental.

No breakfast available. However, many other hotels nearby accommodated non residents. Also there were plenty of other places to get breakfast.

It was a very hot day, and there was little/no air circulation in the rooms or on the floor generally. We asked for a fan, and they found one, but it was very loud and erratic. Fortunately, the window opened fairly wide and there was a bit of a breeze overnight so it wasn't too bad.

Walkable from the train station, and close to many restaurants and the canal. Room was clean, checkin/out was easy, and it was comfortable enough. No frills, but then you're not paying for fancy. :) It was a last-minute booking, I think it was just a couple hours before we arrived, and they were very responsive and prepared for us.

Nothing, really. Just note that they have 10 or 11 rooms and 6 parking spaces.

The location is great. The pub next door, where you collect your keys from, has a great selection and the staff are very friendly. Just to note, they do not do food. There is an Aldi literally over the road, so if you need anything, it's on the doorstep. Loved the fridge in the room. We removed the shelf and could fit a lot more in, so we had a couple of cheeky drinks in the room. There are lots of places to eat in Retford.

there was a green light (don’t know if it was an emergency light?) which was extremely bright which made it difficult to get to sleep quickly, also the walls are fairly thin so we heard someone next door snoring

The toilet brush was not in a container !! The room was quite small. I expected a slightly larger room as I did upgrade the size of the room.

The location was good for us as we were visiting family.

The room was ideal but was starting to look a bit dated. It would have been good if the pub did food as the weather was not great and we had to wander out in the pouring rain.

The location was good and the staff at the pub were very helpfull. There was a good atmosphere in the pub and the selection and price of the drinks were very good.

We had an issue with the heating in our food. When arriving we immediately noticed how hot the room was - the heating was on full. We turned the bedroom radiator off completely, but there was no way to turn off the bathroom one. We had to have two bartenders come up to try resolve this issue but radiator would not be turned off. Wasn’t just on - it was burning hot! Sleep and comfort was definitely effected because of this - but besides this, was a super pleasant stay

Perfect location central location. The entrance and stairs and room were very Clean and and the room very comfortable. Great facilities in room , Kettle, Tea coffee etc. Great shower en-suite. Fridge in room there was Everything I needed. Breakfast isn’t possible but there is plenty of cafes etc in very close proximity. Very good value for money.

It's clearly stated that the nearby pub has live bands - so it's not a criticism, as the management placed me in a room as far away from the pub as they could manage. The band stopped playing on the dot of 11pm :)

A repeat visit. Lovely rooms, great location for the places that I needed to visit, parking on site. Very clean and comfortable.

Room 3, couldn't open window as it was sealed off. Did not know you had to switch on bathroom radiator too heat bathroom,so by time we realised as the controller was hidden by the towels, it was too late, as had an appointment. So bathroom was freezing after my shower. Also no dressing table area with room to put makeup/toiletries, with a mirror at right hight, and a chair, for doing hair and makeup. This is not a criticism, just things I think as a woman would make all the difference.

Location great, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, key access with fob, great towels.
