Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere were only two lifts and one of them was always out of order. As a result, it took a long time to reach your room.
The location is excellent with close proximity to the city center for dining and shopping. The room was spacious and I liked fully equipped kichen. The table in the room was large and was good for dining and working. Having gym and laundry on the first floor was useful addition. Breakfast was same everyday but the quality was good. Pizza from the bar was large and tasty. It was too large for a single person but having fully equipped kichen allowed me to enjoy the leftover as breakfast! All the staff I met was cheerful and helpful.

The staff were absolutely amazing, went out of their way to help us when things were not going our way. Big thankyou to John Paul particularly! The room was lovely, perfect size, felt well proportioned and all good facilities. Bathroom and shower good size too. Breakfast was nice too! Large selection including vegetarian options for a.cooked breakfast too.

United KingdomThere was nothing that we didn't like. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, the staff were very helpful nd the hotel exceeding its expectations.
This was our first stay at the room2 Belfast Hometel. We selected the hotel because of its central location to the Belfast City Hall, along with restaurants and buses. The taxi journey from the Belfast International airport was approximately 30 minutes. We arrived early but that was not an issue, our bags were held in storage. On our return later that afternoon, and after picking up our bags and checking in, my wife and I along with our friends, were allocated two double rooms. Ours was on the second floor. The rooms were spotless and well equipped, including an in-room safe. There was a television, kettle, coffee and tea. For milk a small glass bottle is provided for filling up with milk in the restaurant on the ground floor. There is also a fridge to store any drinks you may have. The room has a double king size bed I believe and walk-in shower. Towels were a good size and excellent quality. The shower had body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The sink had hand wash. Breakfast was served in the ground floor restaurant and was buffet style. It was plentiful, fresh and very good. The hotel has its own bar and in the evening has a live musician. We found the hotel and its staff, exceptional and very friendly. We would not hesitate to return to it or recommend it.

United KingdomThe bed wasn't particularly comfortable as it was on wheels, so if there is two of you in a bed you can feel it move about quite easily. The room we had was quite dark due to it being at the side of the hotel facing another building. The room could have benefitted from some of the nice touches as seen in the reception, such as hand cream and reed diffusers to make it smell nice as it had quite a stale smell from the hallways. Would have liked face towels too in the bathrooms. The hot breakfast was ok, a bit pricey for the quality of food. Overall though, a beautiful stay at a very reasonable price.
The hotel decor and finish was beautifully designed. The staff were very friendly and the bar staff were great too. The room had everything we needed and we were a stones throw away from everything in belfast, surrounded by shops, bars and great places to eat! A lovely touch with games in the lounge downstairs and cards in the bedrooms too. We didn't experience any live music in the bar on our stay, but this would have been a great addition too!
