Liz and Chris were super friendly, welcoming and gave us a lot of information about the area and things to do The guest house is in a great location - 5 minutes walk from the center of Windermere. BREAKFAST WAS EXCEPTIONAL. Not only was the selection incredibly diverse and delicious, but the presentation was beautiful. The room beautifully furnished, with a very comfortable bed, making it a joy to relax and unwind in the end of day. The attention to detail in the room’s decor added to the overall cozy feel of the room and the guest house.

We stayed in a Twin room and although comfortable was very small. This being so, there was no space for anywhere to keep your clothes. If you travel light this room is ideal.

The beds were very comfortable and the area was extremely quiet at night. Liz and Chris are very welcoming and obliging and the food that Chris produced was delicious.

Everything. Rooms were spacious,beds very comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful in giving us information about things to see olin the area. Even called us while we were on the way to let us know the room would be ready on arrival. They were happy to suggest healthy options for breakfast which would be cooked fresh each morning. Although the property only has 1 off-road parking space you could always find a space nearby on the adjacent street no matter what time you came back. 10/10 all round!

The location of Rocklea to both Windemere and Bowness was very good. Parking on the street was easy. Our room was comfortable and clean with a view onto a small burn. Listening to the water at night was nice. The added benefit of a small fridge in our room, with fresh milk and water was great. Breakfast was varied and the pancakes with fruit were amazing. Liz and Chris our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, who gave lots of great advice to us.

Liz and Chris were very welcoming hosts and met all of our needs. They were very eager to help wherever they could and they were great people to talk to as well. The Buttermere room we stayed in was comfortable and nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the quality was consistent every single morning. We had a wide variety of options to choose from for both food and drinks and the dining room was a very nice place to sit in. All in all, our first trip to Windermere was fantastic and we will definitely be returning. Thanks, Callum and Cheryl
