In a wonderful location , the property is amazing and has been refurbished to an extremely high standard . Bedroom , en suite and sitting room are just beautiful with a stunning view from the bedroom. Our host Steve couldn’t do enough for us , he made us feel so welcome and comfortable , his attention to detail was outstanding.

The warm welcome, the luxurious bedroom, bathroom & separate lounge. Plenty of room to relax & enjoy this property . The Breakfast was another bonus being presented by the owner in our bedroom & it was of high quality.

This is an exceptional property. The welcome was incredibly friendly from Joanne. The room decor was beautiful and spotless too. Lots and lots of thoughtful extras and outstanding value for money and the view from the front of the house was the icing on the cake.

Absolutely nothing - everything was perfect.

Joanne and Steve were the most incredible hosts at this wonderful BnB! We have never been treated with such amazing hospitality, nothing was any trouble for them. The location was perfect for walking to Bolton Castle and Aysgarth Falls and there was designated parking. The breakfast was so so tasty and the room itself was spotless. Tea, coffee and light snacks were provided and restocked everyday. They even bought us an Easter Egg as we stayed over Easter weekend. We will most definitely return to Rock View.

Everything. We came back after a few days because we could not imagine that we‘d find something similar to this astonishing place during our trip and we wanted to end it as perfect as possible. Not only have we been (again) overwhelmed by the hospitality of Joanne and Steve, more than that they helped us a lot after our car broke down during the trip and we had to find a way to get back to germany. They told us about every option there is and even sacrificed their spare time to make sure that we‘d find a way to get home. There is actually too much to write about how grateful we are for Joanne and Steve. But again: THANK YOU!!! Thank you for having, helping and saving us . For making us love the yorkshire dales and for making us wanting to come back to preston-under-scar! Thanks for showing us your favourite hiking spot( which is now forever saved in our komoot hiking app), for the best breakfast there is in England. For literally everything! We don‘t think you can truly say that you visited the Yorkshire Dales without having alstayed at least one night at Rock View! On our last evening Steve told us:“Always make memories.“ And we made a lot in Rock View. And every single one of them will always make us love England even more. We can‘t wait to see you again! What can I say… We arrived at Rock View at the fourth day of our two week trip. Everything here was absolutely perfect. The Bedroom, The Livingroom and especially the bathroom have been exceeding our expectations. The Breakfast was brought to our room at the prediscussed time and was always diverse and you can taste it was made with love. We directly felt at home as it was not only a romantic and beautiful scenery in the village but also in Rock View itself. The living room is equipped with a little fireplace and the bathroom has beautiful candles in it which makes the bath after a long day of hiking even more relaxing and special. What i especially want to point out is how happy and honoured me and my girlfriend have been to have Joanne and Steve as our Housekeepers. From excellent hiking tips, interesting little talks about the village and everything around it, restaurant recommendations over to extra treats for valentines day, nothing was missing. We have been so satisfied that we even booked the last days of our vacation again at Rock View. Thanks for making our trip even more unique and perfect than we could have ever imagined. Nothing, we knew in advance due to description that there is no local pub or shop so just go prepared!

We had the perfect stay here. The host, Steve was welcoming, really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The rooms have everything you need, attention to detail is amazing. The accommodation is stunning and perfect for a relaxing break and equally as perfect for a walking break. Would highly recommend.

Excellent and very pleasant host who made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was served to us each morning and the options were different daily. We had our own lounge in addition to the main bedroom and ensuite accommodation. Bedroom and ensuite accommodation was luxurious.

No shop or pub in the village so you do need a car (but that's standard for the Yorkshire Dales). Pubs within a 30 minute walk though.

Deserves it's 10/10 rating. Everything was perfect. Great host, who gave us lots of good walking tips and plans. Fantastic breakfast in bed or in the gorgeous garden if the weather is nice. Very comfortable bed, lot of effort put into decor, and a luxurious bath well stocked with bubble bath and bath salts etc. Stunning location with great views. Hidden gem.

Such a wonderfully warm welcome from Joanne when we arrived. Fabulously appointed room with the most comfortable bed. We enjoyed the sole access to the very comfortable lounge along with the outdoor area which was a great spot to watch the sun go down over the beautiful landscape with a glass of wine. The delicious hot breakfast was delivered to our door at the pre agreed time and there were plenty of additional breakfast items in the little fridge in the room such as fresh berries, greek yoghurt and juice along with a selection of cereals in the sideboard. A really convenient way to have breakfast at a leisurely pace and enjoy the good selection of quality teas and coffee. A great base from which to explore the local area and one we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in this beautiful part of the country.
