Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomthere was a nosy restaurant or bar nearby and the music kept going until late. I was very tired and fell asleep anyway, but I can see how that can be annoying. nothing the hotel can do, unfortunately, but something guests should be aware of if staying over the weekend.
great location and super good value for money for Henley. the room was small, but clean and really cleverly organised to provide everything you need.

United KingdomThere could have been some spare pillows, and toilet space wasn't very big for a larger person.
The studio apartment was very clean, modern, bright, and airy. It had everything you need for a short stay. The location was excellent. Short walks to all amenities, pubs, restaurants, Riverside, and cafés

United KingdomExcellent room in a wonderful central location. Large, spacious room (we upgraded) with a full working kitchen, you could comfortably stay a few nights here. Great shower and facilities/broadband etc. There is no reception but comms are clear, you get a message confirming door entry codes well in advance. There is no parking but again this is clear and we luckily got a good spot close by and just had to purchase a couple of tickets, parking is free after 5pm until 8am just round the corner. There are longer term car parks a short walk away.

United Kingdomthe toilet area is tiny, a large person would struggle. Also the hot water ran out on my first night and the next morning the water was barely warm.
Good room with all that is needed and more, i.e., microwave and fridge, everything you would need, clean and tidy

United KingdomRoom we stayed in was above the bar next door. Music was blasting out until 12.45am then we where woken on Sunday morning at 8.30am by the loud music again.
Very clean and convenient for the town centre. Didn't see any staff so couldn't rate that. Overall a lovely stay

United KingdomThe room is not spacious, so you wouldn't want to be staying for a week.
(I stayed one night using it as a base for walking the Thames Path.) Not what I was expecting - it is basically a bed in a room in a building - but it is a very comfortable bed, in a well appointed room, in a very conveniently situated building ! There is no conventional reception; stairs lead straight from the street door up to the rooms and that's it. I didn't see another person my whole stay. Access to the building and room is via keypad - which you get sent the codes for. The room is functional with no spare room, but very modern. Shower was roomy, water pressure good, wifi good. There are no restaurant / bar facilities but there are plenty of both of those along Henley's streets. There is a lovely Giggling Squid restaurant (Thai) literally next door. There is no onsite parking but there are a couple of long stay options not too far away - either at the station (£7 for whole day at time of writing), or at Mill Meadows (£9 for whole day). Both are equidistant and about 5 minutes walk. Mill Meadows is good because it's a lovely park-like area by the river and there are several breakfast options between it and the 'hotel'. Overall good value for a 1-2 night single or couple stay with great access to Henley and the river.

United KingdomDisappointing not to have a breakfast option - although property is near cafes and shops. Corridors have wooden floors, which are noisy when guests come back late - think a bit of sound proofing would go a long way to ease the issue of hearing conversations as other guests pass by the rooms. Although Air Con in room - temperature would go no lower than 19 degrees - even with the window open instead, the room was (for us) very warm which did impact our ability to stay asleep. Only minor point was that the TV was wall mounted near the ceiling and although great to have one - as it was in front of the tea/coffee etc - my husband (6ft 2in tall) kept banging his head when making tea.
Central location - 5 min walk to Station Car Park - near the river and all the shops/restaurants and pubs. Self-service check in was very efficient - easy and secure. Modern design, cosy (not a huge room but designed to make most of space available). Room comfortable, spotlessly clean., comfy bed, large rain shower which was powerful and hot. Couple of mirrors, TV iron & ironing board, hairdryer and towels & soap. Tumbler glasses and wine glasses, as well as water in the mini fridge for tea/coffee (kettle & coffee machine). We would stay here again - for 1 or 2 nights max.

United KingdomNot a huge issue but there wasn't 5 glasses the same ( wine or otherwise) , just a rather random selection as we had bought bubbles for a celebration but everything else was great.
Great central location, 5 min walk from the station and car parking. Walkable to the river and numerous bars, shops & restaurants.

EstoniaNoise from restaurant below until 1am so no sleep, then a green light from the television started flashing for some reason which woke me up again. I had not touched the TV so had to switch this off from the wall. Very small room, and a bit of a scrappy entrance from the street.

Perfect location, really good comms prior to coming and easy access to the property. The room was compact but had everything you would need and was convenient for what was required of our stay. I would recommend as an easy spot to use if you are visiting Henley.
