Great property in an ideal location with all the facilities you could wish for.

There were a few housekeeping issues - vanity mirror in one of the bedrooms was very dirty, probably missed by the cleaners. Outside chairs were a bit dirty and there is also a problem with the rug under the dining table - the edges are curled up and this is a trip hazard as a few of us found out! It would be nice to have a seat outside the front door as this is where the sun is in the evening - the house next door has one!

The property had everything you could want for a long weekend break. There are 3 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms and also a toilet on the ground floor. Outside space is a small garden with table and chairs for 6 people, there is also a washing line if you want to take advantage of the washing machine at the property. The location is ideal - 5 minute walk to Co-Op, Tesco Express and a pub. 15 minute walk to the High Street for shops, restaurants and pubs as well as the beach. The surrounding area is very quiet, the only noise is from the seagulls!

Super clean, comfy beds and everything we needed for a long weekend away. Great location for Aldeburgh (walking) and exploring the rest of the area by car.

The three of us were very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I thought the cleaning fee, almost a third the cost of the rental, was unreasonable, especially considering the stern warning about removing all glass from the site and the recommendation to strip the beds. This is a management issue, not the property owners'. Really, for 189 pounds, I think the cleaning staff should be able to handle a wine bottle and sheets.

Rest Ashored is a new-built house about 10 minutes walk to town center and beach, really perfect. The rooms were spotless and well equipped. I especially liked that the owners left maps and other information on the area, so it was easy to find a footpath that we wanted to explore. Also, there were binoculars for those who neglected to bring theirs. The only reason I would not rate this as exceptional is I think the stove top is difficult to use, and the instructions were not complete, we had to call the management, who responded immediately with what we needed to do. This model may be standard for the UK but for me, anything with knobs is preferable to pressing interminably to find the right temperature.

    1) Good location for us as we like walking and this is close to the old railway line to Thorpeness (at the bottom of the garden) which also meant an easy walk into Aldeburgh 2) Also close to Tesco/Co-op stores 3) 3 bathrooms

Very comfortable house within walking distance of the town and beach

A couple of windows didn’t have blinds or curtains for privacy or to help keep out the sun

Easy to collect keys as it was a lock box. Accommodation was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and furnished. Nice extras such as record player and wine fridge. Toilet on each floor. Private garden with table and chairs, BBQ.

The halogen hob is slow but once you get the hang of it, it's fine. It would have been helpful to have a list of what is termed as 'recyclable rubbish' vs non-recyclables (eg plastics) as we had to assume that soft plastics were non recyclable. Teenagers get through a lot of food wrapped in this! A minor detail though.

We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable and lovely house - super well-equipped, everything was in great order and everything worked well. Good location for walking to the beach, into town and for getting around. A great example of a high quality holiday let. The hosts have thought of pretty much everything. Thank you.
