Although the room had been refurbished it appeared to have been rushed Spilt Paint on the bathroom tiles not been cleaned up Bathroom door sticking and the joinery around the hinges was poor Only one coffee cup ! we had to share not a big problem and we could have gone to reception for another

There was no phone to connect with the reception and at some point we didn't have toilet paper so we had to go to reception to ask for more.

The view was beautiful and the room was great! Very comfy, huge bed - there was plenty of space for me, my husband and our daughter.

Our room was a funny shape - the bed was cramped into the far side of a long triangular room. There was a bit of noise from outside in the corridor too. The windows obviously hadn’t been attended to as they wouldn’t open (very old and painted over poorly)

Breakfast was great, amount of items was good but could’ve been a bit more. fab location too! Right by the seafront where there was a lovely view from the front of the hotel. The lady checking us in was lovely as was the one checking us out. It’s obvious there’s been a refurb as the bathroom was super, and the whole place was clean.

Didn’t like having to park on the pier opposite and crossing the road in the rain with all our bags. Plus having to pay for that separately

ROOM WAS NOT UP TO STANDARD VERY UNFINISHED , PAINT SPLASHES ON BATHROOM FLOOR. SCIRTING BEHIND TOILET FLOOR LOOSE AND NOT FITTED TO WALL. ALTHOUGH REFURBISHED STILL QUITE SHABBY WITH CHIPS ON FURNITURE. WINDOWS DIRTY AND NOT A GOOD SLEEP OUR ROOM WAS NEXT TO AIR CONDITIONING UNIT SO HAD A CONSTAND DRONE THROUGH THE NIGHT.

The flickering lights in the dining room: no blinds in the room either. The dining room had no white wine available to have with dinner. No adequate parking although the Receptionist was very helpful. Shower tray overflowing and appeared to have a blocked drain; toilet seat loose. Our stay was

I had a room with bay view however windows were filthy so couldn't see out of them very well. Room also was too warm as heated towel rail could not be turned off and generated a lot of heat. Only one window in room opened slightly so didn't help. No seating area in room as advertised.

Restaurant food was inedible on the night we ate there. Breakfast food was cold to lukewarm and some containers empty. Minimal parking and having to pay for offside parking was a pain. Steep and slippy entrance stairs.

It's a newly refurbished building but don't expect high spec fittings or a polished finish. The price is in line with others in the area and we didn't need somewhere flash - clean, comfy bed and a good shower on town centre - ticks all these boxes.

Easy walk from the station, friendly staff, great beds. Interesting old seafront building with potential. All the fixings are new and the room was nice and clean. V good telly!

The hotel has been refurbished and some areas are lovely. Other parts are poor and unfinished. Our alternative room was huge but had a tiny bathroom. Only one part of the shower head had been fitted. The phone for the room wasn’t fitted and left in a drawer. The hair dryer was one that is screwed to the wall in the bathroom but again was left in a drawer. This meant that when drying your hair a large plastic box was hanging as you lifted the drier. Parts of skirting board missing. TV signal very poor and couldn’t find TV guide on remote. Screw missing from toilet that should have been screwed to the floor. It’s also obvious there is not enough staff, particularly during check-in of large groups of people.

Receptionist Mykayla promptly arranged for us to be moved to another room. I purchased a Premier King Room on the BDC app. We were given a very poor room in the attic. It was a hot day and they put a fan in the room and the window had been screwed shut so we couldn’t open it. The room didn’t even have a chair in. We were moved within an hour to another room and given a free meal the following evening. It was only very basic meal from a buffet but free. We had an extremely large bed and it was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in and pillows comfy.

Our bathroom had an odd smell to it and even being newly refurbished, the finishings weren't great in the bathroom either.

The hotel was in a great location! The staff were really friendly at reception and in the restaurant. The food was good and the room was clean. The view from our room was lovely!

The entrance steps and decking were extremely slippery when wet. No accessible entrance or toilet on the ground floor. I thought this was illegal! Bedroom windows didn't have a safety catch, again I thought this was illegal for hotel windows to open fully.

Breakfast was ok buffet style but staff didn’t advise of buffet service. Should think about disabled in shower dangerous for elderly no shower tread or handle.

Room was tiny, booked a double room and bed was clearly a small double. Could barely move in the bathroom and shower was a ridiculous size. Overall was not comfortable. Room wasn’t overly clean nor was the rest of the hotel. Vastly overpriced for what is provided.

Chekin was 3pm, I arrived 2.20pm after a very long journey. No facilities available for waiting, so had to go elsewhere for 40mins.
