The staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious, the shower had strength, and the pool was fantastic.

The lift wasn’t working and the room was difficult to find as the corridors were like a maze. Was exhausted from my journey, so could have done without pacing up and down corridors trying to find my room number. The restaurant food was limited and quite expensive wouldn’t eat their again if I stayed, but the waiters were lovely just not good value for money.

The pool and the location. Very quiet, room spacious and bed was comfortable. The staff were very obliging and couldn’t fault them.

Insufficient coffees and no biscuits in the room no plug socket for the kettle at the designated coffee/drinks station in the room. Order for dinner was one mushroom terrine and one ham hock terrine, we received two ham hock terrines not impressed with the quality, clearly simple supermarket fare. the steaks ordered were poor quality similar to Iceland brand steaks, we ordered rare, both were medium. Deserts were not inspiring. Service was slow but extremely courtious .Complaints were not raised as it was very the two Staff we saw working were working extremely hard. The decor appears to be very 1970s , similar to that of a Cross roads motel geared up for company reps from long ago. The steam room in the sports area was not working, the lifts were not working, The entire complex requires an extensive revamp. All staff we encountered are extremely loyal to the business, but it appears sadly a lack of investment and a failure to move forward will be the end of what. clearly was once a first class establishment and could be again if investment was forthcoming.

We had a wonderful romantic stay, and would definitely return. We have very precious warm memories. Cleanliness was good, Staff were polite but it appeared insufficient staff to the point service was breaking down even though everyone appeared to be extremely hard working.

Staff service. When we arrived at the hotel we were ignored by the receptionist who was on the phone. Not once did she acknowledge our presence. The waiting staff in the restaurant were not great or attentive. They gave us the wrong wine, when they cleared our plates we had to go looking for them to get a dessert menu as none was forthcoming. The menu was difficult to understand as there were different ones for customers staying on business and those that weren't. If you weren't staying on business you could still only choose desserts from the business menu though. All desserts on the other paying guests menu were not available. Nowhere did it tell you this and the waiter also didn't explain how it worked until we asked as we were confused. My meal was average, it didn't have some of the ingredients that it was supposed to have.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice Bar area. Parking was not a problem.

Non working lift but was getting seen to that week as we left apparently. Pool area needs spruce up flaking ceiling paint as well as pealing window covers. General male toilets in reception restaurant corridor not to 4 star standard. Grounds need some TLC. Other 4 star accomodation supply robes and slippers. Your marketing branding team really need to get web site sorted for this hotel as current one does not do it justice. Only deeper investigation encouraged me to visit.

The lift was out of order for both days of our stay, no one offered to help us with our luggage up to or down from the first floor On the first morning of our stay we came down for breakfast at about 9:20 to find that there was barely any hot food available from the buffet. Staff politely obliged by preparing more food when asked. On the second morning of our stay we came to breakfast at about 9:00 to find the hot drinks machine was inoperative

Lift was goosed. No aircon in the room, which was hot as balls on the 3rd floor. Bit of a drainage smell in the bathroom. Missing buttons on the shower controls.

Staff very accommodating. One lad carried bags up the stairs, as lift was out of order. Ordered taxis for us. The barman was particularly nice trying to get wor lass in the bar, thought that was very nice of him? Not sure how the brekkies worked out on wed morn since Jim was on the sesh still after 1am 🤣

There wasn't really anything not to like. Being extremely picky, maybe HD tv and a sports channel or 2, but I am aware it isn't in the middle on London.

The room was a very good size, I had a sofa and a desk to work at. The bed was very comfortable and I had a very good nights sleep. I was only going to have a small breakfast but was drawn in. The hot food was very good quality and the continental had everything you would want.

The staff were mostly pleasant but they seemed a bit disorganized. On the second night, the food was a bit of a let down as we felt we were given leftovers. The night before, food was much better.

The hotel is freshly refurbished so mostly clean and fresh. The spa facilities are basic but not crowded at all so that's a bonus. The hotel is located in a very quiet area eventhough it's very close to a rather busy road. Breakfast and 1 of our dinners were very good.

The bathroom, There was no handrail to hold to get into the bath for a shower, and having just had a hip replacement I had to be extremely careful.
