It would be good to have access to a fridge for longer stays as there is no catering in site.

Check in and out was easier. The room was very clean and comfortable. It exceeded my expectations. The grounds are beautiful- I can undertand why it is an attractive location for weddings. It is easy distance from the park and ride, which makes transportation into town easy and much cheaper than parking.

There is nowhere to get food on site and we didn’t fancy going to the pub for dinner. So we ended up with sandwiches. If there was access to a microwave we could have expanded our options.

Great location, just off the M11. Chalet rooms are small but clean, warm and well equipped. The contactless check in and out was a bit confusing at first. Loads of parking. Excellent garden centre close by that has good food and a farm shop.

One needed to have access to the internet to use the app to get into the building. Even if one had been in the house and had the password, it wasn’t possible to connect outside the building.

The rooms were lovely and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed the walk to the Ploughing after a long day of driving.

No-one on reception when we arrived around 4.30pm. We wouldn't recommend staying in the main building to anyone who doesn't have a smart phone (or if battery flat!) or doesn't know how to download apps (like us) as the main building has digital access to the main door and room (luckily there was someone around to help us otherwise we would have been ringing up the owner/manager). Next time we'd stay in the chalet rooms as they have normal keys in envelopes waiting for the client at reception! The bed was a little soft for us, but that is just a personal thing - bedding/pillows were great.

Unbelievable value for money. The location is perfect - just on the outskirts of Cambridge, yet it feels like you're in the countryside. Gated access to long drive leading to plenty of parking - enough for car and trailer if needed. Not far to the accommodation which was a beautiful old building set in lovely well kept grounds and a few animals surrounding the property. The decor was very tasteful and in keeping with the age of the property (we stayed in the main building) and it had everything we needed (even an iron and ironing board). The building was lovely and warm, even though the heating wasn't on. Everything was spotless, and the shower was amazing. We would definitely recommend this to anyone, and if in the area, we would definitely stay there again.

Low roof/beam in room meant that I banged my head a couple of times. Room was very hot all night, needed to open the window to cool down so heard the music from the late night function.

Challenge was the digital key; the system saw our first name as the surname so we struggled to access the digital key using our legitimate booking surname. The establishment are not communicable after hours via the booking.com site so please ensure mobile network is online and do not rely on WhatsApp data. Friendly staff when in contact.

Beautiful English room superbly clean absolutely gorgeous location with immaculate gardens. Very comfortable and a rating 10 out of 10 for comfort and location. Wifi available at the front door of the main house so easy to access.

I informed the reception that there is no WiFi. The receptionist also entered the password, which he did not accept. Say restart, wait 10 minutes. I waited. Anyway, nothing and when I went to the reception it was already gone. He didn't really care.

Nothing. The reviews I read before going were quite negative. However, it had everything you needed. The hotel explains there is limited washing accessories, which, you generally take your own wash kit so wasn’t a problem. Also they say it is not a frills & spills hotel, it’s more like you don’t get the luxury extras. We found it to be lovely, comfortable, clean & loved the decor. We didn’t see any staff as everything is confirmed on line even our room key was all on line, which gave us our own independence. Should you require any food, there is none available, however, they do recommend eating places local & within walking distances.

Only negative thing was that you could hear the motorway when having the windows open. However, I had a good night sleep and can recommend staying here.

Our bedroom was in a newly renovated house next to the main building. It was cosy and clean. Nice country side view and well maintained exterior. I would definitely come back and stay longer.
