We were in Room 248 which even though it was a great room & very spacious - it felt like the location of it was in a different post code - it was a bit of a trek from all the facilities

On arrival the receptionist was not the friendliest first person to greet you. Rather than her giving information I had to ask her lots of questions. And then it seemed a chore for her to answer. However the rest of the reception staff were always smiling and friendly. The allocated room was a long(!) way from the reception and I wasn’t asked if I needed any help with my case as there were a lot of steps and no lift. The carpet around the bin in the bedroom was very stained - looked like tea stains as the tea making facilities were situated next to the bin. Also the carpet by the window looked like a good clean wouldn’t go amiss. When going into the dining room for dinner you were seated by the staff rather than being allowed to chose your table. As a single person I was just allocated where I would fill a space rather than somewhere I could sit and enjoy my meal. There isn’t a lot of ‘ambience’ in the restaurant for an evening meal as it’s the same room where they serve breakfast. If I had stayed another night I would have looked to have eaten out rather than dine at the hotel.

I had a lovely room that was a good size and very spacious. There was everything in it that you could need and the bed was large and comfortable. The pool and spa was clean and tidy and a perfect way to spend an hour relaxing. I really enjoyed the steam room. Good choice of a food at breakfast. However the dinner menu was a little restricted if you didn’t like burgers and pizzas.

Property was very clean and tidy. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The bar food we had was very nice as were the breakfasts. Room was good, bed very comfortable. Also plenty of parking spaces.

The property was all good. Facilities, room and staff all lovely. We didn’t like having to wait 30 minutes to be seated for breakfast and then everything running out so having to wait for restocking of coffee, juice, hot food items, fruit, pastries… then once finally eating our breakfast being told service was over and we needed to leave. We arrived just before 09:30am having been told we didn’t need to book a slot and services was open from 07:00-10:30am. If we’d been told booking a slot was recommended as a certain time was considered ‘peak time’ we would have happily done so.

Lovely size room, reception staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The spa was a perfect treat for R and R. We booked our stay as a birthday treat and were very touched to receive a complimentary drinks voucher and find some delicious mini cakes beautifully presented in our room. Our dinner was also lovely in the Bay Tree restaurant, service was excellent and efficient. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Prices of food and drink. Obvious stains around pool at water level, and on white overflow tiles around jaccuzzi. Lack of hanging hooks in room for wet towels and bath robes. Lack of alternative sizes in slippers and bath robes for larger people. Very noisy (loud voices) passing rooms in corridors at night. Atmosphere in restaurant was not relaxing.

Room was excellent. Food was excellent but over priced, as were drinks. Very helpful, friendly staff.

We have been here a few times, the facilities are always good, clean, and very acceptable. The breakfast is good with many choices, but not so if you want dinner, a bit ‘fast food’ and not always open.

Breakfast service was chaos , all staff looked stressed and overwhelmed. Almost wasn’t able to have breakfast as woman at front of house said “ you can have breakfast if I can find you a seat” which is something you don’t want to hear if you’ve prepaid for a service. The whole breakfast timings needs a new system in my opinion.

Woman at front of desk was really helpful and attentive, Room was comfortable and good value for money.
