Building had a power cut so no lights or water/shower available in the morning. Forgive the power cut but received no other communication to suggest any compensation for facilities not being provided

I had been extremely unwell (signed off, medication etc.) and called the hotel directly to ask if it was possible to move dates, understanding I couldn't get a refund. The member of staff stated it wasn't possible over the phone, but to contact them through booking to organise. I sent a message through booking immediately after and it was never responded to, so the date passed and the hotel was not used. Disappointing as we didn't know where we stood for several days, and I'd rather just be told on the phone that it was not possible than to ignore my request.

Note - this is speaking only of the experience with this particular booking. We have stayed since so know what the hotel is like. For this booking, it was non refundable.

Overhall a clean plance but if could improve a bit specially in some conner on the bathroom

Room 39!! It was cold heater wasn't working/ on. Bathroom floors are cold. Room 39 isn't worthy for payment so much noise from kitchen and whatever is upstairs or the dragging of chairs dropping of stuff etc . I can normally take a lot of noise but I had ask to be moved. To the credit of the receptionist he moved me to another room without any issues. Think this room should be scrapped. The second room was heated and a lot quieter room 43.

The breakfast was excellent 👌 The chef really takes pride in her cooking. Super clean cooked well and isn't piled up. Most importantly is not cold. The second room 43 was heated. Parking is easy. The bar is reasonably priced, clean and comfortable.

Convenience to and location next to the motorway and distance from London. The price is incredible and you cannot quibble with what you get for the price. Warm and comfy bed.

The hallway and stairs to the rooms were very dirty. A used earbud and a used tissue was on the stairs in the evening and was still there when we checked out at 9 30. I felt the carpets in the hallway and staircase was in desperate need of a good hoover and steam clean. Our room had a shower gel container in the shower which was empty so why have it there? The tissue box in the bathroom had 3 tissues in then it was empty. I felt that I paid £20 for my dog to stay with us, when on the first email I received when I put her as a special request, was emailed that there was no extra charge for my special request, to then receive an email there day after that the would be a £20 charge which I didn't have a problem paying, please to have shower gel and tissues I would think we would deserve. Also to have clean carpets on our entrance to the room area would be nice. Abit of a bad first impression but was happy the room was clean at least.

Breakfast could do with a spruce Both of the lights between the twin beds did not work... and yes I found the switches just fine... was told someone would look at them and that never happened. The bathroom had noticeable toothpaste and other marks on the walls and general cleanliness could be improved all round.

Bed not too comfortable, carpet not clean. Basic Breakfast, toster over burn bread, staff tried to fix but still no joy.

Staff was very helpfull, at arrive they arrange room in very short time, Provided WiFi, Checkout, Breakfast information without asking. Prepared fresh Vegitable sausage. Staff keep refill buffet items, without asking from other customers.
