Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe fridge in the room wasn’t cold but we didn’t mind as we could add ice to drinks. Very minor detail which didn’t detract from our stay.
Lovely location by the harbour in front of Elizabeth castle. Easy 10 min walk to the town centre for shops, restaurants and museums. It was useful to have the car park and there was always a space even when coming back in the evening. The room was very comfortable and housekeeping were excellent - room made up and cleaned every day and beds turned down each night. Nice touches like dressing gowns and slippers, teas and coffees, ice machine outside, complimentary water etc. Air con in the room worked well. Good selection of breakfast items and friendly staff in the restaurant. We used the pool for a swim each morning and it wasn’t crowded. Overall a really comfortable 5 night stay.

Francethe bathrooms could be a little more modern (but are clean and well equipped) , unfortunately for us the massage parlor of the spa (which is not run directly by the hotel) was closed during our stay and I would have liked to know this before our arrival to avoid the deception (no email or infos about this) . But otherwise a great stay
clean and modern place, very efficient and nice staff , great food , the beds are very comfortable . Breakfeast time is quite long which is nice for a relax holiday . Very well located (close to the ferry and 10min by foot of the city center) . the view from the terrace on the port and the sea is very nice.

AustriaPerfect location between ferry terminal and central bus station, right next to the marina and opposite Elizabeth Castle. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast with large selection from buffet as well as delicious offers on the menu. Comfortable beds and spacious, well-equipped rooms. Live music in the hotel bar on Friday night. We will definitely come again!

United KingdomCharging meals in the restaurant to the room bill , seems unreliable , the bill included a meal that I knew I had'nt had as I keep records.. Perhaps the time of keeping paper records of meals and bar bills is done , why not have an app on guests phone that records bills incurred and is coordinated electronically with hotel financial records, using QR codes perhaps ..- so that at the end of the meal staff and guests both see the amount and that then appears on the final bill..

United KingdomThe pool is tiny and the sauna wasn’t working. No swimsuit drying machine. More than anything, the only thing that irked me was the mandatory 10% service charge on every drink or meal you order. When signing, you also confirm if you wish to tip. What is the point in the question when you’re taking 10% each time? Very rude!
The food and service was excellent. Beds incredibly comfortable and well located for being based in St Helier.

United KingdomThe reservation was for me, my husband and 16 years old daughter. We had to share a bed, for £100 a night that was unacceptably and uncomfortable. I won’t be staying there again.
The location is fantastic and the hotel was ok.
