To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomMy room was on the side over-looking the train station, so there was a little bit of noise - didn't bother me, but if you're sensitive to noise maybe request a room on the other side!
Convenient location, beautiful building, clean, comfortable and well-appointed room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The sink in my room was blocked and someone was sent quickly to sort it (although it did instantly block again just from normal hand-washing, so I think there was a more serious sink problem afoot)

United KingdomCentre of Liverpool for easy access to restaurants/bars, parking/train. Friendly and helpful staff at check in/out. Bed was so comfortable (I usually struggle to find comfortable beds when we stay away) so I was very impressed and for an added bonus the sound proof rooms meant it was such a lovely silent nights sleep! Slightly more expensive than some hotels but worth the extra!

Travelled for business and fantastic central location right in the heart of the city. Lots of amenities nearby including safe parking.

United KingdomDon't like how it's cashless, and the bar was really expensive for a pint of lager.. also the breakfast wasn't up to much. Bacon under cooked and sausages wearnt great either. Again, really expensive

United KingdomOur fifth floor room has a natural sloping ceiling (that is the roof). This gives a sense of being slightly squashed. The air conditioning was a bit fierce and even after putting the temperature control up to 23.5 C it took a while to reach the ideal sense of cool that we wanted.

Perfect location for visiting Empire Theatre and arriving/leaving by train as it is located between the two. All staff we met were also very friendly and willing to help. Sympathetically renovated so that it's retained the old charm of the building but has the feel and facilities of a brand new hotel. It was also very good value on a Friday evening. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The location was great right next to the train station very central to restaurants bars and local attractions the hotel was fabulous greeted by friendly staff we had booked a superior room with a veiw near to the ground floor the room was quite small but it was clean and the bed was very comfy with a lovely bathroom with a large walk in shower tea coffee facilities were provided and there was a fridge as well we also had air conditioning which was a bonus with the warm weather.
