Breakfast was very poor. For most of the English breakfast, we had to wait to be replenished. The breakfast wasn't very hot. Waited for coffee machines to be refilled.

The chap who checked us in was borderline rude when I asked a question about parking. He didn't know the answer and told us to just ask someone tomorrow (which would have been too late). The parking is super tight and expensive. A better option is just round the corner in the John Lewis carpark. Breakfast was okay but not as great as other reviewers have mentioned. The worst thing was the carpet in our room, heavily stained, and I didn't want to walk barefoot on it!

The location was brilliant, and the room was reasonably quiet, too. Beds were lovely and comfortable and the breakfast staff were lovely...helpful, efficient and friendly.

Every thing was great for the stay. We did not eat but the room was comfortable and it is in a great central location. We stay here regularly. Staff are Friendly as well. We always feel like we are being looked after well.

Only one little thing really I found out the bath was extremely slippy when I stepped in for a shower, you don't see the sign for extra slip mat until you're undressed and all ready wet

Needs a bit of maintenance ie damaged bathroom door ,chipped bathroom tiles , bedroom carpet needs fitting tighter .

Breakfast was excellent, The staff were very helpful and professional. Check in and checkout was quick and simple. The location of the hotel was spot on .

Carpets were in need of shampooing. Sometimes difficult to get a space to park although we did get a refund for one night.

Room and bed was comfortable. Corner room so had good views. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Very friendly staff. Close to city centre for shopping.

I felt that some of the cleaning staff could have made an effort with guests. On exiting my room in the morning I said good morning and did not receive a reply. (I know they are busy but a simple good morning would just have been polite.)

The hotel was in the perfect location after attending a gig at the Utilita Arena, less than a 5 minute walk. Also perfect location for bars and restaurants across the road prior to the gig. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel bar shut at 1030 on a Thursday night?? I complained about this, as the event we attended had just finished so we came back to find the staff packing up. They reluctantly served us and then disappeared not to be seen again. There were other guests in the same boat, so its bad for the hotel to close so early.

We booked the hotel as it was really close to a venue we were attending. The hotel was really close to the city centre as well, so that was a bonus.

The room had a blown fuse meaning that the lamps and TV were not working... The keys had to be reactivated... And there was no shower gel in the bathroom These things were sorted out but it was a bit annoying.

Breakfast hot food didn't come out together. Seemed short-staffed. We stayed for the evening meal on two nights, but restaurant ran out of things - the red wine we ordered, chicken pie, again we had ordered, and only 2 portions of scampi. Doesn't seem any point in serving evening meals, as not enough staff either.

Locality of hotel was excellent - near bus route, and shops. Nice big room.

Food no better than average (poor for a 4*), I can always find fault with the cleaning, & this was no exception (though not bad)
