They close the road to cars between 10 and 4 at a weekend so I did 4 circuits of Shrewsbury to try and get my luggage. My friend eventually had to walk it all to the car. None of this was explained by the hotel.

    Nice location and good room

Great breakfast and everything was ideal including a super central location. Staff lent me some charging leads because I forgot mine! Easy booking online and at very short notice so delighted to save £100 on the alternative that I was contemplating.

No sweetener in rooms. Dated interiors, quite dark and medieval

Staff are really nice and helpful. Location is great for exploring in the day but pay off is noisy at night. Breakfast good options, quality ingredients used. Nice bathing products. Quirky building, rooms along a maze of different corridors

The parking is quite a distance from the hotel so it would be wise to take bags you can easily carry.

This hotel is right in the historic centre of Shrewsbury and makes it ideal for exploring this wonderful town. The staff are wonderfully friendly. The breakfast was delightful.

Be aware that there long walks to some rooms in the oldest part of the hotel. Floors are uneven due to the age of the building. But if you want the history and character of an old building then that is very much to be expected so I rather liked it.

Lots of character Friendly front desk They upgraded me! Nice quiet room Very central location

Shower wasn't particularly strong, but otherwise all good.

Well situated near the centre of town near to the main sites of interest. The food in the restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast (wide choice). The room was comfortable and looked out over a cobbled alley and you could see the church. Staff friendly and helpful Snooker room that we got to ourselves in the evening was a bonus.

Menu could have had more selection. Shortage of staff meant they were somewhat overstretched. What could be a wonderful outdoor courtyard with seating needs a lot of maintenance.

You will have trouble parking so we came in by train. This is not a fault of the hotel but a general problem in central Shrewsbury.

Central location is excellent and quiet. Staff could not have been more helpful. We have tried two rooms at this hotel, one was quite spacious and one was 'compact'.

We found the car park tricky to locate. Ideally, a map could be included when confirmation is received, or a post code.

Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and fresh and hot. The room was lovely with original timber framework and the obligatory creaky and wonky floors! The bed was lovely and comfortable. Cosy guest lounge with a bar and a homely atmosphere.

I was disappointed with the breakfast, There was a very limited options on serials etc. I had a traditional English full breakfast, which was small and my poached egg was hard.

The receptionist was very helpful and informative, The room was comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. The hotel in general was very accommodating. Finally the location was great.
