Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThere are no kettles in any of the rooms. The Bedroom was small in size, but the large wet rooms made up for this.
Location near to St.Pancras. Accessibility room has access with a large lift. The wet room was excellent and spacious. All the handles easy to use. Well thought out and designed for easy use.

I like the ease of access as well as the location. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly.

NetherlandsThe bed is made and towels are changed after 3 nights. You can always ask for more/different towels but our stay was 4 nights so a change after 2 nights would have been better.
The hotel was a 10-minute walk from St. Pancras. The road that the hotel is in is a busy one, especially at rush hour. But with airco on in the room, we had a good night’s sleep. The room for 2p is compact but efficient and cozy. There are plenty of electrical and USB outlets near the bed, the mirror and (I think) in the bathroom (didn’t need an outlet there).

AustraliaTwin share rooms were VERY small. Tight space between beds. Little room for 2 sets of luggage. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms, but self serve machine in foyer. Single doonas were too small to tuck in both sides! Breakfast choice was limited.
Beautifully refurbished. Great decor. Very clean and newish. Bar in reception area was a great place to meet friends for pre dinner drinks. Reverse cycle air con in bedrooms was easy to use to set even warm room temp. Clean new ensuite. Great overnight stop near St Pancras station.

United KingdomNo tea-making facilities in the room at all. The toilet was unpleasantly stained and thus looked unclean. Lighting took a while to figure out. Control panel on the wall. Could not turn the AC off (it would reboot automatically). Not allowed to open the window, but I understand it may have messed with the AC.
The staff, above all, were wonderful. Friendly, welcoming and attentive. This is a great 1-2 night stay hotel. The location is excellent, particularly for early Eurostar travellers. Several supermarkets are within walking distance. Room size is average for smaller hotels in the area. Sleep quality is good. The mattress felt firm. The toiletries were lovely! Huge plus! USB plug sockets! Ample plugs. Thick bathroom towels. No unnecessary cleaning of rooms (I believe it is done on day 3 of a longer stay). Good and ample lifts.

Breakfast was good and all good quality products. The room for me alone was sufficient but for 2 people it would have been very cramped. They only clean the rooms and change towels after a three night stay which I found to be a super idea. It is very close to Kings Cross station so a perfect starting point for all events and easy to get to the international trains we we were using. All in all I was very happy
