The hotel is still in transition from previous ownership, and there was building work ongoing. But it shows signs of being outstanding once completed. Our evening meal in the restaurant was marred by somewhat amateur and chaotic service - young folk learning the ropes, for which we made allowances, but still the prices are not cheap, so a little more effort would have been nice.

The new self catering villas at Polurrian are outstanding. Very well designed and fitted. A fabulous combination of independence and use of the hotel facilities. The views and cocktails are outstanding. And the breakfast and lunchtime food was excellent.

Service in the bar was a bit slow. I suspect that sales would be a lot higher if service was quicker.

The hotel is in a glorious location. All staff were helpful. The room was well equipped and comfortable. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast.

The bed was pretty soft…and the changing areas for the pool really needed a deep clean..

Food was tasty but average overall. For example the small portion size and the fillet of Gurnard on the main menu in the restaurant was the size of a fish finger! We should have said something at the time but didn't want to spoil an otherwise nice time.

Great view for meal times especially breakfast on a sunny day.. Lovely terrace for an afternoon drink and sea view in the sunshine was amazing.

Some waiters are very nice while others are moody spoiling the high cost dinner feeling.

Swimmers pools (indoor and outdoor) included for hotel guests were a saver for bad weather days. Kids enjoyed having a games room with air hockey and pool. The seaview from room and restaurant are gorgeous. The nice beach is 10min walk down/up. The breakfast is good.

Outdoor pool could have opened earlier.

Stunning location. Staff were so helpful & friendly. They gave us a free meal on the first night as the room didn’t meet our expectations on arrival, as the third bed was too small & squeezed in the gap between the bed & wall. So the second day they upgraded us & gave us the adjoining room too! Great hotel, we had a wonderful holiday & will definitely be going again! Thank you.

a bit difficult to park a car as there is not much spaces.

Amazing views, very clean, room very well equipped. We even got an all essentials for our dog- bowls, poo bags, blanket and even snacks. Good quality branded toiletries to use in hotel, nice breakfast.

Lovely stay , clean and comfy, staff helpful and friendly, breakfast and evening meal was great very good value, would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay, perfect if you like coastal walks. dog friendly. Heated outdoor pool.

We had to check ourselves in as there was no night porter. Rummaging behind the desk before we eventually found the key which had been left for him to give us made our stay a little unusual to say the least.

It's a fantastic location and a very pleasant hotel.

The only thing that lets this hotel down is the food . Breakfast took 50 minutes to arrive and was cold . Bacon was like plastic , scrambled egg was terrible . The restaurant menu needs to include some traditional recipes and not just a la cart. The bar menu isn’t much better either . Had to find food elsewhere .
