It is not often that a hotel exceeds your expectations but the Polurrian certainly did. The food was excellent , the staff were friendly and the room was clean and pleasant. The sea views were stunning, we will certainly stay there again.

As I mentioned, I visited out of season and so was able to enjoy the hotel and Cornwall in general at a quieter time but I would be mindful of how this may change if you are visiting during the peak summer months - I cannot guarantee the difference but I imagine my review may not be as accurate for those travelling in August in comparison to early March! The pool and gym although perfectly useable are a little dated and could do with a bit of TLC.

The location of this hotel is just perfect for a secluded get away. Right on the coast with an easy walk from the back of the hotel if you wish to explore the surrounding beauty (which is highly recommended!) or if you wish to sit and enjoy your breakfast or a coffee with a wonderful view from both eating areas. Also perfectly situated to be able to drive out and explore the surrounding areas (which again I would highly recommend). Breakfast was included in the room cost which is perfect especially as I travelled out of season meaning some places were still closed for the winter. There was a great range of hot and cold foods and staff were happy to help with any queries or amendments. My room was lovely, warm, clean, spacious. I took advantage of relaxing in the bath every night! I ate in the restaurant a couple of nights during my staff and the staff were always pleasant and welcoming. I had the most delicious pea, mint and feta risotto! As I visited out of season I was able to access the pool and gym facilities without any issues and there was always a car parking space available. I also accessed the spa for one of their spa day treatments - head, neck, shoulder and back massage followed by a facial - heaven!! My masseuse was brilliant! This included afternoon tea in the hotel which was delicious with very generous portion sizes. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, would definitely recommend and would definitely return!

Couldn't fault anything. It was an amazing location with some beautiful coastal walks. The hotel itself was perfect. The food was incredible very cheaply priced for the quality. Lovely little spa facility with pool and gym. Definitely stay again.

The spa and gym are located in the next building. Time must be booked in advance, slots are 30 minutes long. The pool itself is not very large, and no more than 4 people can be in it at the same time. Perhaps if the slot was 45 minutes it would be better. We had no problem changing the gym slot to the swimming pool, but it does cause a bit of trouble. Nice gym. Take a pound coin with you otherwise you will not be able to close the locker. Perhaps there is no problem with this during the day, but we were there in the evening (after 8pm) and this was a little confusing for us and a couple other hotel guests.

Large selection of breakfast. You can choose from a continental or English breakfast, and there is also a vegan breakfast available. The menu can be viewed on the restaurant’s website, and the room also contains all the information about the hotel, spa treatment, etc. The room is large enough, clean and warm. The interior design is also pleasant, with tall ceilings, a nice colour scheme and a spacious wardrobe. I was especially pleased with the presence of tea, coffee, sugar in the room and a bottle of water in the mini refrigerator. I really liked the booklet with complete information about the hotel, which also included good information about the surrounding area: the nearest beaches and activities. This is complete with wonderful photos and descriptions, all this is put together and you don’t have to waste time and effort to find this information. Excellent location of the hotel. Breathtaking views.

I hate stairs!! We had three flights to climb to get to our room but this is not a fault of the hotel . Prices a little high for alcohol .

An absolute gem of a hotel. We were in room204 with the most fabulous views over the sea . The hotel is beautiful , cosy well lit . The staff are lovely very friendly .
