Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCan be only slightly hard to find especially if you drive in the night.
Lovely property - really nice owners as well. Very quiet and serene surroundings. Everything was clean and organised. The breakfast was lovely and really good value too. Just something to be mindful of is that the apartment we stayed in was up two flights of stairs and there’s no elevator in this one yet.

United KingdomPlas Penaeldroch Manor is a delightful retreat nestled in the picturesque landscape of Snowdonia National Park. Our stay was nothing short of exceptional, with the manor's charming blend of historical elegance and modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The breathtaking views of the Lledr Valley from our suite were a highlight, making our mornings truly special. The on-site restaurant offered delicious breakfasts and barista coffees! Mike and Carrie were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. One of the most memorable aspects of our visit was the warm welcome extended to our entire family. Plas Penaeldroch Manor is wonderfully pet-friendly, and our children were thrilled to play with Lola, the manor's friendly dog, who quickly became a favorite companion. The manor's location is ideal for exploring the natural beauty of North Wales, and we enjoyed several scenic walks in the surrounding area. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and a welcoming atmosphere made our stay at Plas Penaeldroch Manor truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this charming hotel for anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Don't be mislead by the appearance the old building is a bit tired on the outside but the rooms were lovely bright and clean. The owners are a lovely welcoming couple with plenty of local knowledge.

United KingdomNothing!
Lovely couple that runs the manor! Daily breakfast with the option for a delicious hot breakfast (we got this both morning’s and it was delicious!). Next to the dining table are kid toys and a kid table, which is amazing for us since our kids were done eating before us and they could pop down and play with the toys. There were also two dogs Lola and Freddy, that are lovely dogs. They do not jump or lick, and are just there for cuddles! The hosts provided us with trail hiking recommendations, and the one we did you leave literally from their front door - no driving required! They provided dinner recommendations too - we ended up eating down the road at The Stables and the Welch burger was incredibly good. The room accommodations were clean and lovely. Upon entering we had a tray of snacks and coffees as complimentary. Also complimentary bug spray and sunscreen to go on hikes! All around highly recommend for both couples, and families. ~Patti

United KingdomThere was nothing to note. Beautiful hotel!!
The property was exquisite, full of character and lots of history, perfect getaway for me, my wife and our son. My wife climbed Snowdon and was expecting a rough night sleep from the aches and pains, but the bed was sublime and we both ended up have the best sleep we’d had in about 10 years!

United KingdomWe travelled as a family of 5 for my 35th birthday. We found this gorgeous BnB that was a 30-minute drive from the Snowden Park and Ride. We couldn't have been more lucky with this accommodation. Firstly, upon arrival, Mike, Carrie, and Lola will do everything to help you settle in after a long drive. The suit we were allocated was lovely, It's like your own little apartment! The children were ages 17, 13, and 8, and we had our 2 small Lhasa Apso Dogs as well. The beds were comfortable, it had lovely decor and I highly recommend reading the history around the building in the books provided! Everything worked well in the suit, signal on the TV, showers, and the relaxing deep filled bath, which was well needed after a 6 hour hike up Snowden! If you're planning the walk with children yourself, the Llamberis path is by far the safest and easiest.. We did the Miners by accident up, and the Llamberis back down, taking us 6 hours and some pretty memorable moments. Breakfast both mornings we stayed was 5 Star according to our son Tobias and we have to agree, both the cooked hot and cold continental were of great quality, service and taste! Nothing is too much for Carrie and Mike. They really will go to all lengths to make you feel looked after. I even received flowers on mothers-day, which was so thoughtful, and the homemade Marmalades really are a must try! The views were stunning and it is situated very close to the local town which has an array of shops, cafes, places to eat and parking. The "Pizza & Wine" place is the gorgeous, healthiest pizza we have ever eaten. Gorgeous walks all around Fairy Glen, beaches, and more... Takeaways accessable if you don't wish to eat out or cook, and if you need recommendations, you have the best hosts to help. We are more than sure we will be back, be it this year again or next! Francesca, Martin, Faith, Elliot & Tobias, and not to forget Rocky & Roxy x
