Very friendly and welcoming. The team shared local knowledge and information to help us out. Great bus service outside the door for getting around the Eryri/Snowdonia range. Stunning location with great facilities and local amenities.

Check in time is late at 5pm. Several oven hob rings weren't functioning correctly, the whole building is poorly lit.

Clean, decent rooms, a well equipped kitchen, a drying room, and a great location.

Best hostel I've even stayed in! Staff were more than accommodating. Lovely room with lots of light and fresh air. Great well set up kitchen and cute lounge to play board games with a glass of wine.

The Rocks has a lovely relaxed vibe but is very smart, well thought out and well equipped. Everything has been done to a high standard and the areas are spacious and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. The kitchen is very clean and the bedrooms are laid tastefully. Easy access to betws y coad and Snowdon

The room was lovely and comfortable, we all had a great nights rest. The property was close the local town and all the activities I’d booked. A gem of a find, we will definitely come again

Heating wasn't turned on and being humid and cold we would have liked to be able to worm up a little coming back in. The fan in the kitchen was loud making it unpleasant to stick around.

Hostel was very well appointed and decor was excellent, spacious and well equipped kitchen, lovely lounge and seating area, plenty of toilets / showers (very clean). Great outdoor area with seating and fire pit. Built in bunk-beds were brilliant. Very friendly staff

Only one place in the neighbourhood to have breakfast, lunch or dinner (12 min walk). The two other places as advertised f.e. at the reception (Bryn Tych and Siabod cafe) are permanently closed (!). During our stay a lot of residents were families with young wild and noisy children till late in the evening, so don't expect a layed back hikers/backpackers atmosphere. Bath towels not available unless rented 2 pound each.

Nice and stylish building and common rooms. Goid facilities (books, kitchen, drying room for wet stuff). Location for walking and adventures in Snowdonia.

The ladder up to the bunk bed was hard to use, my children were nervous to be up there in case they needed to come down in the night. A proper ladder would make a real difference.

Stunning location, friendly, nice vibe and decor in the communal areas. The room was comfy and the bathroom was close.

We stayed at the Rocks on our trip to climb Snowdon and go pony trecking in Snowdonia. It was a comfy and cosy place to come back to and after a very soggy mountain climb we could use the dry room to hang our clothes - very handy! They have thought of everything you could possibly need, or want, they had a selection of games, a tv room and a fire pit and Nick the manager was so friendly and helpful. It was close to a pub and a small pretty town with cafes and restaurants, as well as a short drive to Snowdon route start points. Would really recommend!

We loved our stay at The Rocks! A beautiful hostel in a very strategic point for walks and hikes. Staff is super kind and welcoming, the room and common areas are extremely clean, there is a nice kitchen with all amenities. Room small but cosy, with nice views. Would stay again!

The only tiny comment is that there is very little sound insulation when guests are coming in and out of rooms. That said guests were very courteous and considerate in the evening.

This is a great little hostel. The staff are very welcoming, the hostel is warm, comfortable and very clean. The facilities are fantastic and very well thought out. The bedroom was basic but was very comfortable and clean. The location is fantastic for all activities in the Snowdonia area.

Everything was just perfect and thanks to Carrie's warmhearted welcome i felt comfortable right from the start - thank you so much Carrie :D It's such a cosy and lovely place from where you can do a lot of wonderful activities :), even with the bus, because nearby is also the bus station. I recommend it and i'm going to come back again!
