Heating not working in the bedroom.

We loved our stay here.Zoe was a lovely host who did her utmost to make our stay comfortable. The heating downstairs was not working so it made the bedroom area very cold but Zoe did apologise for it.We were able to make our own breakfast and also microwave a couple of meals. The area was very beautiful and the barn was amazing.

We would suggest that visitors take large bottles of water with them as the only water supply is downstairs in the ensuite and the kitchenette has no sink or drainage facilities. We didn't know this when booking. As pensioners it was hard work going up and down the stairs to the little washbasin. A plastic washing up bowl was upstairs with the kettle and microwave. We feel the price reflected this issue.

The location was fantastic for all the places we wanted to visit !! So much so that we saw even more than we had planned ! It was peaceful and clean with ample free parking. Great value for money.

A delightful place to stay and explore the amazing countryside and coast around Port Isaac

We used Plain Street Cottage as a base whilst walking on the South West Coastal Path. It was ideally situated near to Port Isaac so that we could park there each day. If we had wanted to use the bus it was also directly on the 56 route which runs between Newquay and Port Isaac. The cottage was very homely and had all of the amenities that we required. Whilst we didn't meet Zoe she gave very clear and timely instructions on how to find the property.

Would have been better with a proper kitchen area, a sink maybe. A few wine glasses and some teaspoons. A few extra pillows on the bed too... But it was still perfect and I would definitely stay again..

The location was just off the main road which meant that it was easy to travel anywhere. The views from the property were stunning. The accommodation itself was lovely. It was clean and had heating if we needed it . Breakfast wasn’t provided but it was easy to make toast, cereal etc or anything that could be cooked in a microwave, so it was perfect for us. Washing up was tricky in the bathroom sink but Zoe the owner took used crockery to wash and replaced with clean. We didn’t see Zoe during our stay but she kept in touch via messages which was nice.

Since there’s always room for improvement, breakfast could have been even more better if some fruits came with it.

The breakfast was good— a warm sandwich packed with egg and sausage, and served with a smile😊. Milk was provided as soon as we arrived, and coffee and tea lies abundant in the house. There was no need to buy bottled water, we learned that Cornwall tap is of high, and strictest quality, and also tastes good to drink.

Only drawback was that I was traveling with a friend, and she had to sleep on the foldout bed. The host was great about bringing linens, but it wasn’t as comfortable as the bed downstairs.

Cute place! It was fun to see all the cows in the mornings. Nice quiet location not far from Port Isaac. Host was excellent and checked on us when we arrived.

The barn was clean and spacious. Great facilities for being self contained - full size fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine, TV, games, books. Zoe (the host) can even provide breakfast/s at a small charge). The location is excellent for trips to - Port Isaac, Polzeath - 5 minutes Wadebridge - 10 minutes Padstow, 7 bays - 25 minutes Tintagel, Bodmin- 25 minutes Really quiet and remote(ish) location that has 2x local farm shops/cafes near by. Zoe, was an attentive, knowledgeable and warm host - nothing too much bother. Thank you so much🙂... We had a comfortable, relaxing and great holiday. Great place to stay. Meleney

Full self catering would have been better but Zoe explained why it wasn’t possible as yet. Better mattress in sofabed would have been good.

Position for seeing the area. Excellent views & nice garden area. A unique property with lovely welcoming owner. Very quiet in evenings for good sleeping.
