Pinewood Lodge is a wonderful place to stay when visiting St Andrews, Dundee or the Fife coast. We had a very comfortable room, the hosts are welcoming and friendly, a great breakfast, all in a quiet location surrounded by nature.

Super place to stay and Tom & Karen are really nice people. We bombarded them with questions prior to arrival, all dealt with promptly & with good humour. Their guest house was the last one on our Fife Coastal Path Walk and, without doubt, the best one we stayed at. Great room, lovely common areas to use & a super breakfast (complete with views of red squirrels having their own breakfast by the beech tree on the lawn). Good pub food just a 10 minute walk down the road. On our last night, celebrating successful completion of our 7 day walk, I availed of a dram of the complimentary Glenlivet left out by our hosts. Pinewood is highly recommended. Thank you both.

Tom & Karen were exceptional hosts, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4- night stay. We also loved the location as it was so close to St. Andrews while offering easy access up or down the east coast.

Nothing it was all good.

Breakfast cooked to order and great choice of other breakfast foods on offer e.g. fruit, yoghurt, cereals. I couldn’t have asked for more. Friendly and welcoming owners. In sum a hidden gem. Location was perfect for what we needed to do. Other guests staying at the time were friendly and we liked the idea of sharing the breakfast table.

Pinewood is in a great location with ample parking. The property is beautiful throughout and felt very homely. Our room was tastefully decorated and was very comfortable.

Location beautiful, also so many beautiful places to see all around. Hosts very friendly and welcoming, made to feel at home straight away. Spotlessly clean throughout. Twin room perfect and beds very comfortable. Breakfast prepared and presented to the highest standard. Would highly recommend.

There was absolutely nothing I could say in the negative in regards to this stay, for a wedding weekend it's the most comfortable and relaxed I've ever been.

Tom and Karen were excellent hosts, they made every effort to make our stay comfortable (in this case for a wedding nearby) even going as far as giving us the kitchen space for breakfast and offering a slightly later breakfast for the day after the wedding in case there were sore heads. Breakfast choices to suit everyone (recommend the salmon and scrambled eggs!) the rooms were big and comfortable, with nicely updated, modern amenities. The building and surrounding area have interesting historical significance so I recommend reading the welcome book and speaking to the hosts about it if it interests you.

There is a lack of eating places nearby. The nearest pub food was not brilliant. Booking to eat out essential in busy periods.

Lovely breakfast. Really accomodating hosts. The room and the residence in general was really clean an tidy. The beds were quite comfortable and the kitchen was always available for cooking or making coffee/tea.

What's not to like. Absolutely zero!!!!

The breakfast was absolutely superb. Couldn't ask for better. Warm croissants followed by scrambled egg and smoked salmon. The perfect start to the day. My husband had the traditional cooked breakfast and when he couldn't finish it I made sure I did. Would definitely stay there again.

The whole experience was first class. Owners Karen and Tom were so helpful, and couldn't have done more to make our stay any better. Lovely spotless house, great and very comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent, and kept us going all day. Very highly recommended.

Bed mattress in room 1 was too soft for my bad back but when we said this we were moved to room 2 where the mattress was good and had a good nights sleep there. Full marks for responding to guests needs but mattress quality is so important. Check before is you have a bad back.

Breakfasts were excellent and generous. Tom and Karen were very welcoming and helpful in giving suggestions about place to eat and visit. Location was great and so close to St Andrews and Dundee.
