The shower room/toilet in the room we had was on the small size.

Good choice of cooked breakfast, but I felt the continental option choice was very limited and lack lustre.

Mews room was lovely and spacious with a separate lounge area for relaxing in. Good selection of complimentary drinks, replenished by housekeeping each day of stay. Golf umbrella 🌂 provided for dash across to breakfast room in West Coast weather!

The TV channels were mostly unavailable, which would only be a problem if we spent more time in our room.

The service was amazing. Margaret, organising the lunches, helped us to completely surprise our uncle as special guests at his 80th birthday lunch. When we asked Martin behind the lounge bar to take a photo, he added logs to the fire and waited for the flames to rise to make the photo more special.

We liked staying at Piersland House Hotel because it was very comfortable. clean and quiet. The breakfast was great, especially getting cream on my porridge. We got engaged while staying there when it belonged to Christian Endevour in 1970. We'll be back!!. Ian & Betty White

Our room was very noisy (no 37). People next door were speaking and TV/Radio was on loud before 7am on a Sunday morning.

We stayed in the Mews Cottage (room 30) and we found it a little basic and not decorated as nicely as the ones shown in the photos. Still decent, just expected a bit more based on the photos advertised. The breakfast buffet was really basic with few options.

The arts and crafts style of the hotel was beautiful. Loved the bar area too! I didn't realise this was the former house of Alexander Walker (grandson of Johnnie Walker) and there's a nice wee homage to all things Johnnie Walker in the entrance hall. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and it was lovely!

Although the room was nice it was overlooking the carpark,if I was booking a stay at this hotel again I would ask for a room a that has a view of the Golf Course and sea.

The cooked breakfast was really nice,the location was good and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Very friendly reception staff and staff in general. Room was in the main building - lovely large room with seaview (just). Dinner and breakfast both really good.

Our room was beside the kitchen vents and slightly noisy but they went off about 11pm and were not really a problem. If a baffle of sometime could be used to divert the noise it might improve tyhis but cannot complain about it as we booked a room at the last minute.

All the food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. The staff were very attentive throughout our visit and the facilities and decor of the building were very good.

Dining room is too bright for evening meals lights could be toned down to give a warmer ambience at night Plates were so hot...great for warm food not so good for smoked salmon...mine started to cook plate was so warm!! Minor issues apart from these stay was amazing

Excellent stay again and hotel been refurbished since we were last there and its looking lovely. Our room was so spacious as was the ensuite and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fine could have been more choice at the continental area e.g. fruit but sufficient. We ate in hotel one of the nights and food was fab we should have ate there both nights we stayed!!

Beautiful hotel…we stayed in a Mews room which h was very comfortable and spacious.We were celebrating my husband’s 50th Birthday with family and friends who also stayed in the hotel.Food and service all fabulous!

Minor complaint. One tiny shower gel and one shampoo between two of us

Great location, friendly staff We are dinner in the restaurant which was excellent value Breakfast was great continental and cooked options available All in all we had a great stay here and would highly recommend the venue and staff couldn’t do enough for you either 10/10 we will be back.

Thought the breakfast was a little small as to when booked with your stay compared to an added on breakfast

Everything about this property was stunning , pleasant diner next to the log fire wasn’t a problem for staff to bring it to the bar area as we had been seated here before dinner having a few drinks , second night we dined at Scott’s at the marina that too was amazing and highly recommend, overall it was a great way to start off Christmas and my wife’s 50th birthday, we will definitely be returning to Piersland House .
