Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThe breakfast is poorly organised and managed, cramped and overcrowded and not really worth the money even if it is only £11.
Nice, clean, fairly spacious room (ceiling on mezzanine a bit low), water, tea and biscuits replenished every day for free, nice atmosphere, nice patio area, great location.

United KingdomThe breakfast was not good. There was scrambled egg that did not taste as good as they should be. Hard boiled eggs and chicken sausages and some sort of substitute bacon which was quite awful. If they do not want to serve an English or European breakfast, they should just do what is known as a Continental breakfast.
The staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful.

United States of AmericaAgain, if you are an American, be prepared for a very small room with a small bed. However, it is a comfortable bed, and the rooms are in excellent condition. The only other issue of importance is that the nearest underground station is a 7-9 minute walk, and the next closest is at least 11 minutes away. For us that was only an inconvenience, but the line you will be on will require at least one change to get to major tourist spots in Central London. Sadly, there is no way for guests to have climate control under their control in their rooms. Having said that, if you want to stay in a quiet, clean, and relaxing neighborhood this is your place.
The property is in a nice, quiet area of London. The lobby is spacious, with a nice outdoor garden/porch to enjoy. The excellent staff goes out of their way to meet your needs, in a very professional manner. The desk clerks/management are in shirt and tie or female business attire. It is an interesting design, it sits in the middle of a block of row houses, all are kept quite neat and are in good repair. There are not a lot of pubs or cafes real close to the site, but about a 5 minute walk from the hotel is a road with almost every American chain/franchise restaurant (McD and BK are almost next to each other!) in England on it and at least two pizza joints along with the normal pubs and eateries. The hotel breakfast is a 'classic' English breakfast as a buffet, with baked beans, salad, Bangers, their unique bacon and everything else for a good price. The eatery is in the hotel basement, but is quite comfortable to eat in. The staff, including the food service staff and housekeepers were very friendly, and always willing to talk and/or help guests. We were very impressed by them. The rooms are small as many London hotels are but there is a small desk, and a large bathtub in the room, even long enough for me (almost 2 meters tall) to be immersed in water. The beds were comfortable to sleep in, but the halls are not wide at all. The elevators are fine, except they are supposedly limited to three people per lift. We had four in a lift every time we used them, and did not break the lift car. Other than the size of the room and a couple minor issues, this is the best hotel we stayed in. If we return to London we will stay here again, hopefully in a larger room!

IsraelThis hotel advertises a hole of 6 square meters that you can hardly call a room, with nothing but a bed in it, toilet and shower 2 flours apart, and takes money for it. It’s a shame! On top of it the restroom smells from cigarettes, which they deny.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaI was stuck in this small elevator that was moving up and down for 20 minutes, almost left without oxygen - DANGEROUS! I did not like how the staff reacted in this crisis situation, it was traumatic experience, I almost choked. However, they paid me taxi to the Airport after I insisted, since I was late to the Airport because of this incident. Receptionist offered me water and coffee to calm down, which I appreciated. Hence, I did not want to leave the lowest score.
Clean cosy room, nice neighbourhood, central line tube within walking distance, ok breakfast for surcharge.

SwitzerlandThe rooms are very small. If you're out all day and only come back to in the evening, that's fine. The rooms are ring-shaped. If you spend four nights in the hotel, the breakfast becomes monotonous over time.
The hotel is in a very good location: central with many restaurants and the subway nearby in a peaceful neighborhood. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. The beds are very comfortable. The mattresses are rather hard.

United KingdomNeeded to turn off the room fridge at night as it buzzed so loudly it put me off sleeping. At breakfast the coffee was not good. I switched to the selection of teas - much better.
Lovely quiet location yet is excellent for underground tube as well as nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Really nice to be able to open the bedroom window and get fresh air (so many hotel windows don not open), nice view on to the quiet road and houses opposite and everything was very clean. Breakfast was ok.

GermanyWe took the rooms with external private bathroom to save some money. Two of these rooms are poorly isolated and thus cold, unless you turn on the extra heating, which then made it very warm. For my room, the bathroom was 3 flights of stairs away. Other rooms may be nicer.
