Cleanliness - the place was quite dusty in areas.

Great hotel on the rocks and great views. Great location to walk to the beaches and around St Ives. The hotel itself is quite outdated - but I understand that they are planning a major renovation soon. My room was lovely and spacious and had lovely views of the sea. The bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast options were good. The fruit in the cold selection would run out quite quickly (but I did turn up around 9.30am - so perhaps earlier customers had better selection). The day menu is ok - there are better places to have lighter meals. The staff are all really helpful and friendly. I emailed a couple of times before my stay to check on parking etc, and they were very responsive.

No elevator - first world problem!

The view is amazing and the location is superb. A quick and easy walk into the center of town. The staff were lovely and very accommodating.

Wonderful setting overlooking the beaches, fantastic to be able to hear the sea at night. Rooms are individual due to the hotel being built on a cliff which needs to be taken into consideration. Staff were welcoming, helpful, friendly and professional.

The pillows were a bit uncomfortable and the bed was too small for couples but I guess the room I paid for was for double bed.

The location of the property was spot on just steps to the beach . You can see the the sea through your windows.

My room was close to the air conditioning outlet and was a little noisy throughout the night but you get used to it.

A small suggestion about the seating supplied on the room balcony. We thought different chairs would be more suitable. The existing ones are not very comfortable without a table and the height of the seats mean your head/eye level is at the same level as the balcony balustrade so you’re trying either look over the balustrade or duck under it to enjoy the views which are quite stunning. Maybe deckchairs with company livery would be a better option and a small table for guests to place drinks/sunglasses etc. whilst enjoying their balcony views. Finally, we thought the dining arrangements were a little chaotic. We only ate one meal in the restaurant and it was on our first day and before 4.30 so it was from the daytime menu. The older gentleman behind the bar was rushed off his feet but he couldn’t have been nicer to guests. He was very helpful, very friendly despite clearly being very, very busy. Whereas there were younger ladies walking about on the floor tiding up menus on tables and seemingly doing very little to help the number of customers like us either stood about wondering whether we should be sitting ourselves at a table, waiting to be seated, ordering at the bar etc. These younger staff were just walking past us (and other guests) without asking if they could help or by going onto another till to help the colleague behind the bar to serve waiting guests more quickly. Our food was however very nice, it was just a chaotic experience and therefore we decided to eat elsewhere the following evening. Breakfast the next morning was similar, not quite as bad but we were still not sure whether we were doing the right thing in where we were sitting or waiting to be seated. There were no staff when we arrived downstairs.

The view from the room were stunning. The room was very nicely decorated and the refreshments provided in the room were excellent. Really nice to have bottled water and lager in the room. Nice touch. Bed linens and towels were very good quality.

I found trying to get to speak to someone on the phone about car parking was not as easy as you might think. We were lucky to get a pay and display after a 10 minute wait as we couldn’t get a reserved space, could have been a stressful start to a holiday!

The location, easy walk close to the town, the view from the room and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

The view from the room as well as the restaurant is amazing! I could look at it all day. The room was clean and the decor looked new, a comfortable bed—a very nice bathroom and shower. Great facilities, more than the basic. A delicious breakfast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is in a beautiful location right on the beach. Highly recommended.

My friend had an outside room and I worried about her having to go outside and climbing the steps to her room.

The view from my room was exceptional and all the staff really friendly and so helpful. The food was also excellent. Would highly recommend.
