Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomParking is on the street which isn't a problem most evenings but spaces are limited at weekends, especially with the area having major sea wall work going on taking away some other parking spaces. It is a popular area so just be prepared.
I really liked: the huge room, bath AND a separate walk in shower, plenty of towels, the cleanliness, the fridge and especially the fresh milk and supplies of yogurt, welsh cakes, butter and jam, cereals, cutlery and crockery. drawers everywhere for storage if you needed it. the thoughtful other extras like wine glass and apples with spare tea bags etc if you needed them on the way into the hall before the rooms. The fact that they left you alone BUT you could call them for anything you needed whilst you where there.

Everything!!! Everything has been thought of here, beautiful big room, beautiful big comfy bed with cotton linens, fabulous bath and huge shower, lush white towels and robes. Quality toiletries, quality welcome treats and a decent size fridge to keep your food/drinks in. Washing up equipment for your cups and glasses, Lots of little extras to welcome you, things you may need but not have remembered out in the hallway like wine glasses, bottle opener, sewing kit, dog treats and plenty more! Dogs welcome at no extra charge and a basket with blankets and towels for them in the lobby. Fabulous location just across the road from the water, easy walking distance to pier, beaches, bars and town. Everytime I have been here it’s been the same first class stay.

United KingdomThe view from our room at the top of the house was exceptional, a full sweep of Swansea Bay. The owners were amazing. I have mobility issues and they took our luggage from the bottom of their steep drive to our room. We had the same help on departure.

It was clean, well stocked with all basic items we needed. Lovely touches like bath robes and beds were super comfortable. Although the boathouse has lots of rooms we heard no noise the whole time we were there.

United KingdomThere was no where to get rid of our rubbish or recycling and as we were staying for 4 days, this piled up a bit. We ended taking it down the front to find a bin where we could recycle. Also could have done with a couple of softer pillows.
Lovely big room, comfy chairs and a wonderful view. The doors to the Juliette balcony opened right up to give us a beautiful view of the bay. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was big and well equipped with lots of towels. There is a fridge with fresh milk and cereals and snacks. Very close to the front with all the restaurants and shops. Also there was a towel and bowl plus some doggy treats for our dog.

United KingdomParking was a nightmare sadly, after 30 mins of driving up and down Mumbles Road we gave in and parked near Verdis… £17 for 24 hours - boo!!!
Loved the cereal, juice, yoghurt and welsh cakes in the room. Very nice touch as I wasn’t expecting that. Very spacious room with lovely view across the bay.

United KingdomOne minor issue was we couldn’t get the small shower attachment to work which my partner wanted to use save getting her hair wet 🙈🤣.
Excellent location. Room was massive. Bathroom was massive. Lots of tea and coffee available, fresh milk in the fridge, 2 x boxes of breakfast cereal if you wanted it, a packet of Welsh cakes with butter and Jam and 2 x bottles of orange juice along with a bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival. It was so hot when we arrived the cold water was a god send. Lots of towels and toiletries provided along with bath robes. A nice seating area with 2 x chairs and a coffee table and lovely views out of the French doors. Very private area just off the main road.

United KingdomNot good for disabled travellers. Can't park on site and no guarantee of parking nearby; but, if you're lucky there are spaces to be had. You can drop off and unload car outside premises. No assisted access to upper floors.
Location is amazing. The room is big, comfy with fabulous views. Huge bed. Big bathroom with a lovely, big bath plus a big shower. Lovely breakfast items in little kitchen area. Loads of coffee, tea and milk. Extra coffee, hot choc, tea, etc left for guests on landing area with a few apples... Litre of water in fridge and milk. Room designed to maximise space with wardrobe area out of sight in space of its own, so room for a chair and two seater sofa from which to sit, relax and enjoy the view.
