Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomRequested twin beds. They were touching. The shower room was minuscule-so small it was impractical. The extractor fan didn’t work and the shower drained very slowly and had an open drain. This was improved on request but fan still not sorted.

United KingdomIt’s a very dated old hotel. I was annoyed as I had prepaid £175 for room only, but then was asked to swipe my credit card on arrival “to cover any damages”. I checked in around 11pm and told the guy I was leaving early the next morning as I had a train from Paddington which is next door. I asked him what damage he thought I might do in 8 hours as a lone female traveller. No reply funnily enough. Poor, short sighted way of treating respectable guests. Get better insurance guys if your guests are regularly trashing the rooms

Great location 5 mins from Paddington station,calm,very friendly staff. Had coffee and a supply of biscuits each day.Was advised about an Indian restaurant on the afternoon of my arrival 5 minutes walk away. The manager helped me reserve a trip to Kent when my phone had some problems. Everyone was so helpful. Breakfast was very good ,cereals,bacon sausages,eggs,yogurts ,with a wonderful choice of fresh fruit,always very ripe and sweet.I really appreciated this. Take a cardigan to the breakfast room,AC is a bit too strong depending on where you are seated . Would definitely return to this hotel

Location was super, stones throw from Paddington and tube links. Room was way too small for me but I guess I never checked. It was a single but with only a foot of space next to the bed it was quite claustrophobic. Clean and tidy though. Had to close curtains as tiny courtyard at rear everyone can see in your room. There/was some heavy noise during the night by some kind of fans or air con units which was loud as the window was open due to no air con and stuffy small room. I'd stay again, in another room.

Single room was tight once I had my suitcase open - this didn't affect my overall stay as I didn't spend much time there...too much in London to see and do!
It was close to Paddington Station. Breakfast at the hotel was convenient. The bed was super soft.

United KingdomI was told to request a fridge in our room as we checked in, the girl said she was sure our room 806 had one but if not she would get one sent round. Asked twice more but no fridge. I had medication that should have kept cold, I was told it could be kept behind the desk, but I need it as soon as I get up and didn’t want to walk round in my pjs. Also cups in room are really small.
Very close to tube, nice comfy beds. Clean towels everyday even if not requested.
