Nothing - it was all good.

Very comfortable and spacious room, with great tea tray. Bathroom was clean and shower powerful; great toiletries. Staff very helpful, and nice bar area. A short walk into the city centre - either along the road or by the Thames path. Great stay.

There was nothing not to like

Staff very friendly, courteous and polite. We were upgraded on our arrival to a premium room with a balcony. Breakfast and staff were exceptional. Presentation of the food and quality excellent. Location.. River walk and road walk both 10 minutes away. Parking although chargeable is worth every penny

Room was a little noisy, but very comfortable and well equipped

Superb hotel 10 min walk from Oxford city centre, a bit of a hidden gem. Staff were amazingly accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely spacious room. Nice facilities, very clean and comfortable. Very reasonable price considering how close to the city centre it is. As it's set in quite large grounds it's very quiet.

    Nothing, everything very likeable.

Location wonderful, had been to this hotel when it was owned by previous company, it was lovely then but had improved 100% mak8ng it the only place to stay in Oxford. Only a 10min walk along the towpath into Oxford. Food good, staff friendly and professional, all in all can’t wait to return for a next visit.

We ate in Deacons restaurant and this was a little disappointing. Despite lacking atmosphere the food was below standard for the price. Over cooked lamb and fish and definitely not worth the money. There are far better places in Oxford to dine and we regret staying in the hotel for the evening.

Lovely location, friendly and polite staff, excellent facilities and ample parking.

The dinner was very expensive for what it was. Breakfast had optional additional items (e.g. pancakes) for a charge- I feel that these should have been included if you’d already paid for breakfast

Breakfast was good and staff are helpful. Nice pool and gym. Good sized rooms and very clean

Room key expired before the end of my stay so had to go back to reception to have it updated and staff member didn’t apologise or show any sympathy for inconvenience.

This is the best location to stay for watching Summer Eights.
