Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation is great and so easy to get a bus into town.Breakfast was very good but the evening meal was even better. The staff were very good when we explained that the room was to far for my wife to walk as she is waiting for knee operation, they moved us a lot nearer to reception.

United KingdomCost for parking was too high and unexpected. Had to pay £20 for one night on top of the charge for the room I'd already paid for. Would be nice for this to come off the initial receipt so people aren't taken by surprise on the day they book in.
Lovely room, great spa facilities, hot tub was really warm and pool not too deep. Hotel was very clean. Restaurant food was delicious despite the high cost. Location was great, right near the centre but far enough for peace and quiet. Lots of greenery around and plenty of areas to walk.

United KingdomWe thought that paying £20 to park the car on site was a bit of a joke and should have been free. The coffee at breakfast was poor (from the machine).
The staff made this hotel. Reception were very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant staff went out of their way to be helpful. Very laidback. Dinner was excellent and the best buffet breakfast we have seen in a very long time. Lots of choice and very fresh. Oasi was exceptional at dinner in particular. I’m

United KingdomIts a very minor issue, but would be great if there was maybe a mini fridge in the room.
Very friendly and helpful staff, if you had a query or question they would do their very best to solve the issue. Very clean. Great facilities, only a short walk (10-15 mins) to the City Centre. Self service breakfast with a great choice of food. Would highly recommend.

El SalvadorParking was £20 for a day even for hotel guests. It felt overpriced and a bit unreasonable.
The property’s location was perfect. It was not too far from the centre of Oxford and all the but stops are right outside the hotel. Very well connected. The bed was amazing, very very comfortable and the room was clean and very well kept. Staff was lovely. We were checked in by Lily on arrival and she was very helpful.

United KingdomOnly dislike I had was that you had to pay £20 for parking. Typically this is free if you’re a guest at other hotels on my experience.
Very modern property, really clean, great area for it to be, only down the road from Oxford centre, meaning it’s about a 15 minute walk.

United KingdomEverything was excellent, but it is a 20-25 minute walk to the city centre.
It seemed to be very new and pristine and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, with lots of choice and they catered well for my gluten and dairy intolerances. There’s also a large bar area, great for a nightcap.

United KingdomNothing.
All staff were welcoming and friendly from receception, restaurant/bar, cleaners, leisure centre staff. All would greet when saw you. Kashish and Claire at reception were exceptional and sorted our minor problem out and were very informative and knowledgable of the area, an asset to the hotel. The room was lovely with a gorgeous view of the fields with the horses ducks and geese. Bed was very comfy. A special mention to Vina for keeping our room spotless. Breakfast was one of the best I've had for a buffet style breakfast. Plenty of it and kept fresh. Staff constantly checking and keeping tidy. Location is perfect being in a country like setting yet on about a 15 minute walk along river thames or by road if prefer into the city centre. Oxford is a lovely city. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this hotel if returned to Oxford.

United KingdomThe rooms are a little tired, with the carpet in our room showing holes where previous fittings were. The room was large beyond need but the bathroom was poorly laid out with the world's tiniest shower, which had ill-fitting doors and an overhead shower head that dropped even when not selected. Soundproofing, we could hear conversation and singing children even when other visitors were in their rooms.
The location was good, near the city and a nice walk along the river past all the famous rowing crew clubhouses. The staff were amazing, and super helpful at all times with all requests to fulfilled. Our room was at the back of the building with no traffic noise or environmental noise.
