Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only thing that this property lacks is a lift. My room was up 43 steps on the second floor. It wasn't an issue for me, but some people would struggle. It is worth seeing if there's any ground floor rooms if you have mobility issues.
Great location, close to Hyde Park and several restaurants. Small but clean room and comfortable bed. Air-conditioning in the room, which was needed and utilised. Clean modern ensuite with a shower that was really good. I had a faulty kettle, which was replaced promptly. Breakfast was to serve yourself a combination of hot food, cereal, etc, and continental. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomBreakfast was adequate with good amount of choice but layout wasn’t the best. Couldn’t easily find cutlery without asking and it’s a bit different boiling a kettle for my cup of tea at a buffet table.
Room was lovely, colour scheme beautiful and lovely modern bathroom with great shower. Breakfast was ok. Location perfect for Paddington access and only a short walk to Hyde Park for our morning run.

Czech RepublicToo small. I had a problem to fit in the shower(and I’m not a big guy) and the walls were paper thin. Luckily, the hotel was empty, so it was quite and I slept like a baby. But in the evening, I heard every cough coming from the other rooms and other stories.
Clean, no lines at the front desk, rooms were furnished with fairly recently. Not bad at all for a single night stay on a business trip. I had everything I needed. Located near Paddington station, it’s also very strategic when you need to make it to a meeting in the morning.

NetherlandsRoom is quite small, no elevator available. Very low sound proofing , you can hear everyone going up and down the stairs throughout the night, so you need earplugs to sleep normally.

United KingdomThe bed was by the wall, so one of us had to get on it from the end, but the room was quite small, so this was probably the best arrangement
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast as we had to go out. Staff were kind, helpful and efficient

United StatesI was a budget business traveler (work for a non-profit) so this was perfect for a 2 week trip for work. I will come back and bring my two kids. I stayed in a double room which was fine, but a single room might have been too small.

IndiaThe stairs in the property are very narrow. There is no assistant and you have to carry your luggage all by yourself. A bell hop would have been useful. Water bottles are not provided. No food availability except breakfast which is free.
The room I was alloted was in the basement. Felt a bit claustrophobic, but eventually got used to it. The bathroom/toilet is very small. A plump person will definitely not fit into the shower cubicle. Breakfast was basic. But it was also nutritious. The Person at the front desk by the name of Jerry is very helpful and charming.

HungaryThe walls are paper thin, you can even hear your neighbors breathing and getting a text message. Not to mention how unpleasant those noises are at night, you can only sleep with earplugs...
The hotel is in the inner city, very near to the beautiful Kensington Gardens (3 min walking), so you can walk to every sight. The staff was always very nice and helpful, the hotel is overall modern and the rooms are well equipped. The breakfast was also very good (even with hot food items) for the price.

ThailandSome points for improving the service: - They should have cat eye on the room door. - They should change room floor material from rug to others to prevent mold and musty smell.
I would say the location is super perfect 10 out of 10. Close to everything you need and ask for your travel. 5-10 minutes walk to Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate Station. Hyde park at Italian garden is right across a main road (Bayswater) which I really love. I feel that I live in safe neighborhood. I think the hotel was just renovated so the bathroom is new and very clean. The single room is fit for only one person with huge luggage like me.
