Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt would have been nice to checkout later however the hosts did allow us to vacate the tent but stay on site if we wanted.
Location was amazing and hosts had thought of every detail. Facilities were excellent and clean. We glamped during a weather warning however it did not spoil the holiday. Teddy the cat welcomed himself into our tent for cuddles (we left tent unzipped). I can't wait to go back.

United KingdomNothing at all, it was fantastic. The bus into Oxford is the E1 not S1 as advised, which did mess up our itinerary on one of the days a little as we were using the incorrect timetable and then had to wait 30 mins on the bus stop which meant we missed our first meeting in town. A little noisy on the first night until late, but the second night was fabulously peaceful.
Private, relaxed, great to have the firewood included. Great to have a shared fridge.

United KingdomMinor thing - the fridge in the kitchen hut was set too high (we didn’t notice) and froze our items!
The tents were beautifully presented and equipped with everything we needed. We loved using the fire pit with logs (all provided) in the evening and then using it again with the coals and grid for a bbq the next day. There was also a shared fridge and ovens in the outdoor kitchen hut. Thought had been put into giving each tent its own sense of privacy with the direction they faced and the location of the outdoor seating. You never felt like you were encroaching on anyone else’s space and vice versa. Our kids had a lovely time exploring the grounds, following wood pigeons and stroking the cat and didn’t want to leave.. I had two incredible nights’ sleep in a very comfortable bed! we will be back!

United KingdomThere isn't much to do on site or in the nearby area, so plan out some drives. Also, I'm not sure if its like this every weekend or if we were just out of luck, but it was quite noisy at night. It sounded like there was a nightclub up the road. You could hear distant music like 'doof doof doof'. I couldn't work out where it was coming from because there wasn't anything really in the area. Very strange.
The grounds are lovely. The bell tent was comfortable and clean and the kitchen/bathroom facilities were great.

United KingdomThe communal fridges. Sadly the small amount of food we had in the fridge, they are shared between 2 properties, was taken by others.
The rural destination was beautiful and relaxing.

United KingdomA few more plug sockets in the tent would be good - especially one by the shelves so the kettle can be pluged in there rather than on the bedside table on the opposite side of the tent. Also the way the extension block plug sockets open mean anything that has a regular plug (rather than a vertical charger) prohibits you from opening the next plug due to the cable. (Owners - try plugging in 3 kettles to see what I mean!)
Loved the cosy tents, outdoor seating, provision of wood for fire, great toilet and kitchen facilities, excellent location for kids to run around safely, quiet and beautiful.

We absolutely loved our stay, the tent was really lovely and had everything we needed. The facilities were well thought out, from the fridge area to washing up to eating out. And the bathrooms were kept clean. I especially loved the tents at night with their fairy lights all lit up - so very pretty. And the sound of the birds in the morning to wake up to. it’s a very pretty setting and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

United KingdomWe stayed in tent number 9. Didn't like the other people who were there at the time, tent number 8 and 6 were a group booking 2 families. There were older children playing football near the tent, on the last evening after a long walk we got bk to our tent my partner was feeling sleepy so had a lay down on the bed, i decided to start a firepit as it was our last evening there. While taking in the last night relaxing and chilling 2 of the older children were running around and one of them stumbled right in front our tent joking and laughing the stumble woke my partner up from her sleep. The same night my partner joined me in sitting around the camp fire while chatting with each and be quite and peaceful the older child of the two families was on his phone talking to someone woundering round our tent, there was loads of other place he could of gone to take the call i felt like he was doing it to be annoying to us. people didn't take any notice of the signs put up to remind them to leave kitchen area clean and tidy. A sink in the kitchen area had food in it and the next day it was blocked, toilet doors were always left open when they should be closed shut.
I liked the location and tent, facilities are good free fire wood for firepit. Lovely walks along the Thames River to the trout Inn pub beautiful setting easy to navigate around camp site for facilities, could of done with few extra draws or cabinets to put clothes in if staying for a week, but as we stayed for a few days it was no bother.

ThailandNoisy military flights occurring at night, and having someone knock on the tent door before 7am saying we needed to be out by 10.30. We knew the check out time, and it was also well signposted in the tents and common areas.
The bell tents are equipped with everything you need and are super comfortable. Excellent that firewood and kindling is provided. The toilets, showers and kitchen area are clean and well equipped. The site is lovely, great location for Oxford, well maintained with an effort to keep some areas dedicated to nature by providing habitats for wildlife etc.
