Room was small for two, wear and tear visible, some kind of drib marks close to bathroom door, teared net curtains, windows not closing properly, lights next to beds not all working. Windows had mold around frame. It was unusually cold for June so room temperature was fine, but we had windows ajar when checking in and they stayed like that during our stay giving fresh air. There was a massive fan in the closet, no airconditioning or air vents in the room, this led to think it might be quite stuffy and hot during warmer weather. Overall the hotel decor was dated and worn out, didn’t match the price asked for rooms. Awkward steps to elevator, not very heavy luggage friendly. Didn’t try breakfast as it seemed quite overpriced, there’s nice cafes in the vicinity. Talked to one of the neighbours who mentioned that the hotel is planning to extend the building to the garden, cutting down the beautiful old oak tree we saw from our room. Quite baffeling they got permission for that since it is a conservation area. If there are alternatives, we usually choose not to stay at Linton Lodge, not good value for money.

It’s a good location in a green, quiet, affluent residential area in a walking distance from Oxford city centre and also Summertown shops. North Parade with pubs and coffee shops close by. Short walk to University Parks. Room was quiet, good pillows and black out curtains, slept very well.

There could of been some of bottles of water put in the room as standard, for what the price of the room was .

The staff at the Linton lodge were very friendly and helpful I cannot fault them. Thank you

The young lady of Asian extraction who was the receptionist was unfriendly and unsmiling. The staff at dinner could barely cope. Signage pointing to the car park at the back would have helped as I cold barely get our car into the car park at the front.

Breakfast although fresh rather than tinned fruit would have been better which is what Travelodge and Premier Inn do. Room and bed comfortable.

At breakfast, the hot food was barely lukewarm (so I'd say go for the cereal instead). The lift and the sofa in the room felt rather ancient. It wouldn't recommend our room for really tall people as the ceiling was low in some places. I still have no idea how to use the shower buttons (the water was scalding hot and the pressure pretty low)

It is located in a very quiet area (not very central - about 15 minutes by bus from the city centre). The staff were nice, the beds large and comfy. I had one breakfast there, which was rather nice but nothing extravagant. It was clean.

The responses of hotel staffs were a bit slow.

It's a bit too far from the central area, but a car parking lot is OK.

Very comfortable bed. Beautiful outdoors courtyard/garden. Had a magnificent view of it through a lush tree from my windows. Convenient to the bus line into town - yet enjoyed walking the quiet neighborhood, the daily walking commute to/from campus, and the walking to points north.

Mobile reception was poor - often non existent - in my ground floor room (31) so I needed to go to reception to get a signal.

I didn't have the breakfast as I was meeting friends for breakfast. The receptionist was very helpful in giving information about City buses as I had to meet Australian friends at another hotel after my arrival

Not a good idea to serve hot meals on cold plates! They suck the heat out of the food which leaves it lukewarm. You need to invest in a decent plate warmer. I personally do not want cheese and ham for breakfast but bearing in mind Hull's status as a main ferry port I would have thought this essential for our continental visitors.

Friendly helpful staff. Clean room which was serviced! Excellent location for both railway station and bus station and near by St. Stephen's Centre for our evening meal.

The breakfast was splendid The garden was attractive. The hotel is set in a pleasant neighbourhood and was quiet at night. There is a regular bus service No.2 serving between Magdalen Street and the hotel though the 25 minutes walk into Oxford is pleasant enough.
