Being woken at 8am by workman working on a neighbouring property. There was lots of banging and knocking, radio playing and loud talking. This should have been advised at the time of booking as would have possibly influenced our decision to stay on this occasion, guests need to be made aware of such work being undertaken.

The only small point was the shower head - we found it difficult to position and had to hold it with one hand which made hair washing difficult.

It was quirky as described and fitted our needs perfectly. We needed a clean and comfortable bed and a shower, the balcony was a wonderful addition.

Excellent little place for a stopover in lovely Kirby Lonsdale. Bed is comfortable, and the outdoor terrace is lovely. Very well located with pay parking nearby.

The bothy is very cute with a lot of character whilst having everything that is needed for a short stay including a fridge and microwave. Everything was beautifully clean too. There were a few bits and bobs around for entertainment including playing cards and books (with hints of the owner's personality). The balcony is a lovely peaceful space with blankets for if it's a bit chilly.

My only concern was the steep stairs but this is highlighted in the description so anyone booking should know what they are booking.

Accommodation was suitable for our weekend away. We have fab weather so the outside space of the terrace was an added bonus for us to have a morning cuppa and snacks. It is so central to everything so an excellent spot to stay. The owners are very responsive with questions I asked too. It is a very quirky apartment and suited us well for our weekend away.

Car parking recommended was near to the accommodation, however, minimal 72 hour tariff £21 (no 24 hour option) - just mentioning so people budget for (would still recommend & stay again) Teaspoon would be handy for those wanting a brew

The bed was uncomfortable, can’t help thinking that it could be upgraded by the owners for a modest cost. There is a small “kitchen” area with a microwave and sink but no crockery or cutlery. Not really a problem if you use the nearby caterers.

Location was exceptional, within 50 metres of cafe, deli, pub and paper shop. Quirky two storey accommodation with usable spacious balcony area. Clean and tidy, toiletries and towels were fine. Charming, prompt communication was appreciated. Great price for a short break and dog friendly.

We loved everything! Beautiful location and beautiful property. A lovely little hideaway in Kirkby Lonsdale. We were even left out freshly ground coffee and tea for our arrival, which was a wonderful touch. Would love to come back.

Outhouse Bothy is as described very quaint, a lot of thought has gone into making the most of the space. It’s in the centre of Kirby so perfect for bars and restaurants. We did have slight hiccup on arriving but this was quickly sorted very much to our satisfaction and we have booked again for later in year when we hope to enjoy sitting on the terrace ☀️ our only suggestion would be a small tv
