Booked 2twin rooms but actually got 2double rooms. This was rectified quickly but what a waste of laundry! And time! Not very green friendly. Dinner menu was not inspiring and monkfish was served overcooked and cold!

We didn't like the evening menu - I know it is a subjective thing but looking at the dishes that were coming out of the kitchen most people seem to have agreed with us and were sticking to "safe" choices like burger and fish and chips. The restaurant staff were efficient but impersonal, maybe that's what you should expect at a conference hotel I'm not sure, but it was just our opinion.

Very nice airy reception and sitting area, receptionists very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and the bathroom was large. We stayed as we were going to the tennis, we would gladly stay at the hotel again next year for the tennis.

Check in very quick, staff helpful and welcoming. We got a room upgrade which was great. Restaurant was very busy so we had a bar meal which was served pretty quickly. Great hotel for a sporting / relaxing break or a stop over to break up a journey.

There was no explanation of how to make the lift work on the way to my room on arrival - not automatically obvious to everyone. Service at the bar late in the evening was very slow, needed more staff, but those who were on duty were pleasant and remained calm despite pressure of customers. There was only one chair in a double room.

I appreciated the good shower, provision of a good iron and ironing board in the room, good storage facilities in the room, and the excellent breakfast. All the staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.

My single bed was quite narrow, and I had the sensation I was rolling off during the night. By chance we met the maintenance man appeared in the morning to 'fix the bed' whereupon I noticed it was uneven at the foot end. This may have contributed to the sensation of rolling off the mattress.

The breakfast was excellent, apart ftom the coffee which was not first rate. The bread was delicious. Cereals, yoghurt, lovely honey and cooked food all very good.

Kids could use the pool due to the low number of slots and needing an adult to go in with them even tho they can swim very good.

breakfast is let down by hot items not being the best quality and nothing that can be orderd from a menu like an omlette. Also just the brand box cerials is really not enough in a four star these days. The setting isnt the best you're likely to end up a view of the car park, this is minor though. The only other thing is I would've loved the stand light to be independatn so I could swith it on without all the over head lighting also being on. It's all or nothing. Again, minor.

great staff, lovely rooms especially the superior ones which have huge beds. Very clean rooms. Fresh bread at breakfast is a nice touch the restaurant is of very good quality, nothing fancy or inventive but everything I ate was well cooked and of high quality. If you have business in the university it is exceptionally convenient.

Our room was on the ground floor with a patio door opening up to the courtyard. Unfortunately we had an infestation of ants coming into the room. Fortunately we only saw these on the morning when we were leaving.

Very modern, eco friendly, very helpful & friendly staff, quiet, fabulous breakfast (one of the best buffet breakfasts we’ve ever had). Also staff knew we were celebrating a birthday & acknowledged this with a few thoughtful gestures in our room.

We had 5 rooms between the group of us, and the air conditioning wasn’t working in a couple of rooms, which wasn’t ideal as it was a very warm weekend.

Lovely hotel in a nice setting within the university grounds. Rooms were a good size and nicely furnished. Staff were very helpful and attentive - from the reception staff to the room attendants.
