Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe Sizzle shack was a bit difficult to operate and in the end we gave up. It also felt a bit challenging for us 11 people to hang out there as it seemed a bit small to accommodate us all. For a smaller group it would have been fine. Instead we discovered there were picnic tables with coin operated heaters. A bit expensive but ok. I would have put more heaters on that space to make it a bit warmer. The Chill out was amazing but the sauna stopped before our end of time, and also the lights went off before we had packed away which was a bit challenging especially since we had the last slot of the day and it was really dark. Overall I expected the Chill out to be a bit more weather protected as in the pictures it gave the impression it was all indoors which it wasn't.
Really enjoyed the pods. They were comfy and super clean. The location was good. Close to motorway so was easy to travel around. The hot tub/sauna was a unique experience for the kids and us. Everything was really clean and attended and the staff was very attentive.

United Kingdomthe sizzle shack/chill out area felt a bit like constant party but to be expected on bank holiday weekend.
Great location. Nice lodges, good enclosed area for the dog. Beds were quite comfy - I’m 33 weeks pregnant and coped very well on them! Very busy but impressively quiet after 9/10pm considering it was bank holiday.

United KingdomWould have liked a chemical toilet disposal point. We took our camping toilet to avoid night time visits to the bathroom: didn't realise some glamping sites don't cater for chemical toilets! Not too much of a problem, but prevented me awarding top marks. Probably wouldn't concern the majority of visitors.
Great location, just a few minutes from the motorway and easy access to local town (Penrith) and nearby visitor attractions.

United KingdomIt Needed a dog shower point as it was dog friendly. It would of been great if it had an ice machine. And the chill out area was amazing but too expensive for a couple wanting to use the facilties.
The camping pod was excellent, and the shower rooms and location were great.

United KingdomLacked attention to detail. The pods are very small but some clever design ideas could transform a good experience into a great one. More places to hang clothes or fold down shelves for placing tea etc. could make a huge difference. Also something as basic as a door mat would have helped when we had muddy paws on a rainy Lakes day. We weren't mad about being next to the party room. It wasn't too noisy but most of the site were using it on the first night and it felt like we'd crashed a wedding or something. The shower was luke warm at best (and I'm a hardened camper).
It is a very cute site. We liked that the pod we had had a little fenced terrace that our dogs could sit on. The pod stayed lovely warm and it felt very cosy.

United KingdomToilet/shower block was pretty dirty. Understandable it’s a muddy site but the same cubicle was dirty 3 days in a row. Also might be an idea to bring a wee fan heater, the pods have heaters but was still a bit chilly.
Cosy, cute & great location! Stayed a few years back & they’ve now added extra facilities to the site as well as fridges in the pods.

United KingdomUnderstand but didn’t like that location was within an industrial estate that had open aspects but not well signposted how to actually access walks and cycle paths. As no manned reception or local information to hand was difficult to know directions etc.
Liked the enclosed safe space for pet. Liked the cleanliness and space for camping. Washroom and toilets very clean which is important.

United Kingdomthe location is not exactly inspirational for a hideaway, right next to the M6 ...and is not somewhere where i would stay for more than 1 night
this was a last minute booking, for somewhere to stay instead of camping, because the weather was not looking too good....turned out was a good choice, was clean, comfortable, and just what we needed

United KingdomShower lights are activated by a sensor and switches off mid shower, nothing to worry about just reactivate. Toilets can be smelly but there is an automated air freshener. Showers are tricky for young children.
