One person in our party felt warm despite the heating being turned off, so she had to open the window. It was quite close to the highway so we woke up to the sound of cars/trucks zooming past the guesthouse. I asked for a fan but there was none available.

The room and the guesthouse itself was very homey, and I love that it was situated so close to a valley park. Going to the conference also just took us a 12 minute walk.

    Everything was perfect.

A charming little cottage all to yourself, which feels like a home from home. Really comfy beds, everything you need for a short break, and even home baked scones. Parking right outside the door and plenty of facilities nearby.

Brilliant for a group stay with family, good local walks and good local pubs in Stoney 5 min drive.

We stayed as a group, and would highly recommend it as a group stay, but because 2 of the bathrooms aren't ensuite if you were there alone you'd just need to deal with needing to get dressed in the bathroom before exiting into the hallway/kitchen. The bathrooms were good in all other aspects however. The bin outside from the cafe business unfortunately hadn't been emptied and smelled a bit, was slightly unpleasant getting to the car, but really not a big issue. The outdoor furniture wasn't in the area as described, but there was loads of available seating anyway if we wanted to sit outside.

The coffee was great, French coffee press in each room as well as a large ones in the kitchen for larger groups. The rooms were a good size and comfortable as well as had characters. The guide in the rooms was helpful with nice local walks, however I'd say that the Galleon has gone downhill with the new owners since the guide was written.

Lovely touches to make this listed building special. QR codes telling the history. Clever uses of old materials I.e. ladders as shelves. Quality bathroom products. Welcome cakes and milk and orange juice in fridge. Immediate response to any questions. Spotlessly clean. Next to friendly community cafe serving the best scones.

The only slight downside is the lack of en suite in two rooms. There are however dedicated bathrooms in each case.

The School House was an absolute delight. It provided a lovely step into the past without compromising modern amenities. The attention to detail was impressive with so much upcycled so effectively and the use of environmentally friendly products throughout. We particularly liked the use of student art on the soft furnishings and of course the training facility for young people with autism. The adjoining cafe was a bonus with delicious cake and a warm friendly welcome.

    Nothing to add here!

The stone cottage is really clean and really cute with original features and at the same time very comfortable and warm (central heating) especially during cold autumn days/nights! There's everything you need in the kitchen to make a brew and some and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. One of the three bedrooms is on the ground floor, so it's also suitable for people with mild mobility problems. Off street parking is a bonus. Also for charging e-cars. The are two pubs nearby, the villages of Wolverton and, in opposite direction, Stony Stratford with more options for dining also in walking distance and a cafe next door but that is not open during weekends in autumn/winter. The location is ideal for walking trips.

Nothing! A perfect place to stay!

Very nice building. Good bedroom, very clean. We had a large external bathroom. Well equipped kitchen and nice sitting area. We had a good brunch in the community café, which is located next door. Enough private parking places are available, although sometimes some spaces were occupied by visitors of the community café. A good pub is in walking distance, a lot of walking tracks in the area. The centre of Wolverton was a 15-minute walk. We had a dog-friendly room.
