Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomAccess to allocated rooms. Although there is a lift, to reach it you have to climb several groups of stairs which proved a challenge for my elderly mother who has balance and breathing issues.
Location. The view from the enclosed conservatory is picturesque & exceptional. Room size - really good. We especially loved the complementary biscuits which went down a treat with the tea & coffee👍👏👏👏 Grill room - breakfast & evening meal menu were very good & great value. Very attentive staff - no request went unanswered.

United KingdomRather expensive for the size of the room and the food. The young girl behind the bar was quite rude when we asked if they took cash and she said if she took it she couldn't give us change! We did ask about this policy at the reception in the morning and he said he didn't know anything about it and didn't think it was a fact. The barmaid was also serving drinks in the wrong glasses so that the lager she gave us soon went very flat. An American man tried to explain this to her when she gave him the wrong sort of glass but she was rude to him and banged glasses about whilst sighing heavily. I'm sure this is not the kind of behaviour you want to promote in your hotel.
Good central location . Lovely seating area at the front of the hotel giving good views. Restaurant staff friendly.

United KingdomIf you are a regular booking you have to fit around large arranged groups. To be told you cannot book dinner or breakfast at suitable times when you have ongoing travel arrangements is poor, particularly when told it’s because block booking of parties come first. Dining room furniture uncomfortable, tables for two large can’t hear each other over loud guest parties.

United StatesWe checked in on Monday, May 6. Upon check-in I requested a cab at 6:30am the next morning for 6 people. The young woman at reception made a note of it and said that the night shift would take care of it. She asked what time we wanted to eat breakfast. I told her that we would be leaving for a day excursion too early for breakfast on Tuesday but would like 8am breakfast on Wednesday (our check-out day). She was very nice and ordered us take-away breakfasts for the next day (Tuesday) and set us up for 8am breakfast on Wednesday. The next morning we went downstairs about 6:15 to find out that there was no cab nor was one coming. When I inquired of the young man at the desk, he acted like he didn’t know anything about it. He was somewhat rude and told me I should have ordered one the night before. I told him that I had done that. He did try several cab companies but none had cabbies on duty. We had to walk to the ferry station and luckily just made our ferry. The reason I ordered a cab in the first place was because one of our friends had recently had knee replacement surgery and another will be having hip replacement surgery when we get home. Wednesday morning we went down to breakfast at 8am only to be told that our time was at 9:30am. I understand that a large group had arrived and our time had to be changed BUT we had not been informed of this until we showed up at 8. Because our time to check out was delayed, we had to make some other arrangements for the morning
It was very clean. The food was excellent. Gave us a take-away breakfast one morning when we had to leave early, which was a nice surprise.
