The hosts were so lovely and couldn’t be more accommodating, even an extra touch by making a homemade chocolate cake for my arrival, which was delicious of course. The accommodation was so nice clean tidy and had everything you need and wish for. I certainly would recommend anyone to stay here.

The accommodation was perfect with exceptional facilities that were so lovely and clean. The hosts were really lovely and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure they were available to greet me and show me around the property. I never took advantage of the breakfast offer [I left early each morning for training] but I can assure you that if the Apple Cake that was left for me was a measure of the hosts culinary skills you really should not miss this. The location was beautiful and peaceful.

The only downside for us was the bed, my husband had to climb over me to use the bathroom.

Beautiful location, it had everything you can possibly want in the property, the owners have thought of everything.

Lorna and Noel were wonderful hosts. We received a very warm welcome, advice for dinner reservations and Lorna’s light, homemade cake was quickly demolished. The space was immaculately clean, the beds comfortable, the kitchen equipped with everything you could need. The surroundings are very peaceful. We would highly recommend Oakwrights.

A very clean and comfortable overnight stop on the Essex Way hike. Very warm welcome. The studio apartment is on the second floor so roof is sloping. Beautifully furnished and well equipped. A short walk (500m?) into town for the pub or supermarket. The towels are very rough so for perfection, some new fluffy towels would be excellent.

I had a great stay! The place is very cozy and comfortable, in a rural location surrounded by nature. During my stay i have found everything i needed, hosts have thought through everything to a tiniest details. Friendly and responsive hosts. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful idyllic scenery and lovely peaceful walks with amenities nearby and access to A roads. The hosts were welcoming and friendly like going home greeted with homemade apple cake, milk in the fridge. The apartment was cosy clean and well equipped.

expect a long drive ...if traveling from manchester... and watch out for the single track road .. had to read a map as very remote.

Lorna & Noel , (Noel and Lorna) are amazing hosts and very welcoming even when we arrived late ..amazing and magical experience of the stillness and tranquillity of their home in a self contained abode in grounds of the family home . we would love to return there again one day soon.... thank you for the home made apple cake made with home grown apples what a nice touch. !.. we loved every minute .. nesting swallows what a rare event to see for us.

Noel and Lorna, perfect hosts in a self contained apartment with lovely views. Didn't know this part of the world. It is a beautiful village and Oakrights the perfect place to stay. Lovely walks around the village; country pub, tea room, greenery.

Lovely hosts. Idyllic location. The property was clean, tidy and well equipped. The hosts were very informative when we arrived and gave us places to where would be good to visit. We had red velvet cake on arrival which was delicious and such a treat!! There was a gorgeous coffee shop and pub walking distance away and the food and drinks were really good. So lovely, would definitely return in the future!

Host wifi good but no mobile (EE) reception in the village as a whole (so not the hosts' fault) gave a problem trying to pay for a Dartford Crossing. The double bed tucks in so snugly under the eaves that one person would have to climb over the other. Access is via a fire-escape type metal staircase with holes through the metal grating steps. I found this rather scary to use & it also meant carrying everything including food boxes up said stairs. So not for those who are not nimble .

Lovely well appointed quiet large room above a car port & nesting swallows with rural views and peace. Hosts delightful and attentive to any needs. Parking no problem. Suitable for single or couple occupancy. Peaceful and restorative.

It was perfect for a single guest but with sloping ceilings it may be tricky for more people or anyone tall.

Noel and Lorna were excellent hosts the apartment was fantastic, situated in a lovely village with a great pub, beautiful countryside. Noel and Lorna went above and beyond helping us with our travel arrangements , would recommend to anyone.
