Beautiful property loved the decor. Had everything we needed for our stay. Close to the high street and local restaurants Info booklet has everything you need to know about the area. Nice gift of wine and crisps as well as tea coffee milk. Would definitely book again. Thank you Julia

Absolutely stunning property - exceptionally high standard and very lovely little extras left in the house for our arrival. Good location and great to be provided with a parking permit for the car parks just a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed exploring Kingsbridge while we stayed at Number 40 (including the very friendly and welcome pub just up the road, The Dodbrooke). We would definitely recommend Number 40 and will definitely stay again next time we visit Kingsbridge.

Literally the only criticism I could think of is that the mirrors over the sinks in the bathrooms are hung a bit too high for short people! I tended to have to stand on tiptoe to see my whole face. Didn’t worry us but the stairs are quite steep if you had mobility problems.

Loved everything about this little house. So warm and welcoming when we arrived on a wet chilly evening after a long drive. Exquisitely decorated in heritage style and wonderfully comfortable. Absolutely everything you could need - or even think of - was provided. Everything was spotless and I wondered if we were the very first people to stay there - but because I’d chosen it for the marvellous reviews I knew that wasn’t so! Lovely big kitchen/diner, absolutely perfect for cooking/chatting/eating/doing paperwork/playing board games on the big table. Separate cosy little sitting room for TV watching/snoozing/quiet time. Upstairs fabulous. Amazingly comfortable beds and marvellous bathrooms/showers.

Could honestly not fault this property in anyway at all.

Number 40 is in a perfect location close to all amenities, the Cottage itself is immaculate in everyway and a real home from home with extra little personal touches, decorated and furnished to a high standard with fabulous bathroom, Huge comfortable bed with super quilt and comfy pillows …the cleanliness was 5 star … it was warm and cosy and a real treat to stay there ..I didn’t want to leave… the best Rental we have ever stayed in and we shall be returning A*****😍

Loved it all! Only thing I would do differently is stay longer and bring our dog!

The property was perfectly located in kingsbridge. Decorated to a great cosy standard and perfect for 2 couples. Lots of food and drink options locally and all the amenities needed within the property. Some lovely touches which were greatly appreciated after a long drive e.g flowers, bottles of presecco/wine, welcome postcard.. Parking is not far from the property and space to off load by the front door to save walking cases through the lovely village. Beds are really comfy and we are looking at buying the duvets!

The wasn’t anything we didn’t like. We could only suggest that the shower screens may benefit from sealing along the bottoms as we found water was getting under them and maybe mattress toppers could be provided as an option for guests that find firm mattresses a bit too hard.

Great location, perfect for easily exploring South Devon. Julia’s house was perfect for our group of four friends (2 couples). The house was clean, had great facilities & decorated to a very good standard. The extra touches were very nice & Julia really thinks about her guests. The guest welcome book had all the information you could want & was well put together. We were all very happy with our stay & would highly recommend.

Not a criticism really but if you are travelling with a young family, the stairs are a bit treacherous, easy enough to keep an eye on little people but good to be aware!

Number 40 was modern, clean, perfect location and had all of the facilities we needed. It was pretty perfect!

Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean home with exceptionally comfortable beds and bed linen. A beautiful area in Kingsbridge, with very straight forward and accessible parking. We used Kingsbridge as a fantastic base to reach the beautiful Salcombe area which worked perfectly. Would 100% recommend to all.

The accommodation was delightful and so well situated in Kingsbridge. The owner even supplied a parking permit which we had not been expecting. There was everything we needed and tea/coffee/milk/nibbles were there to greet us - as were wine and Prosecco. We stayed with our dog and they had even put out two bowls for him, one with clean drinking water already in. Lots of helpful information about Kingsbridge and the area. I had booked the weekend as a birthday present for my husband and, thanks to Number 40 and host, the whole weekend was a success.

We were happy with everything! (Only thing abit tricky was the deadlock key which took abit of getting used to.)

No.40 is beautifully presented with lovely stylish and homely touches . A lot of thought has been put into making this holiday home and we immediately felt comfortable. Julia our host was informative and welcoming in all her notes to us regarding our stay. She left lovely gifts of wine for our arrival. The bedrooms were so comfortable - crisp white linens and divine pillows and the bathrooms were luxuriously decorated. We loved the furnishings and fresh flowers. The kitchen is well equipped and spotless.

No garden was a shame but we didn’t need it, lots of outdoor activity on the doorstep.

The host offers an immaculate homely cottage which was ideal for our stay for a local wedding with friends. 5* accommodation inside, newly refurbished and very tastefully fitted out. Would highly recommend if staying in the area of Kingsbridge and surround. Easy access to both Salcombe and Beesands where our wedding was attended. Thankyou.

Parking outside property is limited by availability and restrictions. There is free parking 5mins walk away, but not ideal for a family with dog getting loaded and unloaded from beach trips and adventures.
