Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBreakfast was a disappointment, cold hash browns, full English was lukewarm. staff clearing tables were not friendly. Please remove the practice of sharing condiments such as jams, ketchup and mustards, it’s really unhygienic
Conveniently located next to Cambridge North railway station. Spacious rooms, bed very comfortable and it was quiet despite being so close to the railway. Beautiful high quality furnishings

PortugalMaybe the prices in the restaurant.
I love the fact that it had a pool and a sauna. It feels like we were in a different place from Cambridge. Good place to relax and enjoy time by yourself or with a partner.

United KingdomAlthough close to Cambridge North and only a 5 minute train journey into town, i didn’t realise Cambridge station at the other end isn’t actually centrally located. My fault.🙄. Somewhat disappointed with the choice of draught beers. (Two lagers, two beers, no Guinness). And nothing could be charged to the room. Not the end of the world.
New property, very close to Cambridge North station for easy connection into Cambridge. Spotlessly clean throughout. Spacious bar. Plenty of places to sit.

United KingdomThe staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the lovely (I think she was Italian) lady who checked us in. We had a nice natter, easy check in and hassle free. The room itself was fantastic and suited our needs for the day/night. I live in Cambridge so to stay here for a night away with my partner was nice and overall very happy with our stay.

United KingdomThe service at the restaurant/bar was very very very slow considering it wasn't even full when we went there. It took several minutes before we got seated and our order taken. We waited a long time for our order to be served and just to get the bill took maybe around 10mins.
The hotel was located just walking distance from the train station and the bus stop. The room was very spacious and spotless, the bed was comfortable.

United KingdomThe procedure at check in and to get to the gym is dreadful. You have to que at reception for a "gym pass" then fill in a form. Then back up a floor across the hotel and down 2 floors for entry. But it's only a one time pass so every time you want to access the gym or pool you have to go back down to reception and que up. Not ideal at 7:30 in the morning. Ncp car park is expensive and painful to book, needs to be budgeted into your stay. £16 per night I think it was
Lovely hotel, clean, modern, great bar and restaurant.

GermanyStaff while nice were distracted each time and wouldn't go out of their way for you but pleasant enough to check in and out. We were greeted by a mean-looking spider on our room curtain but staff came to remove it within 5min of discovering. Bathroom facilities had the one exception of a poor design choice being a glass doorway that was never closed off to the room (simple swing hinge and open gaps above and below door), which wouldn't be ideal if you weren't close friends or a relaxed couple.
Rooms were quite nice all inclusive with a big TV, sofa, fridge etc. Bathroom shower was great, staff were friendly. Large parking lot (paid but affordable) was a huge advantage to have right near the entrance with a co-op groceries in the same courtyard. Train station right outside for those not travelling by car.

United KingdomI wasn’t the biggest fan of being at the front desk in my dressing gown to go down to the pool but understand the reasons for it
Stayed here as had an event in Cambridge. I was nervous following reading some reviews on Trip Advisor but all worries were short lived. This is an exceptional hotel right next to the train station ( which you wouldn’t know) Things to know: To access the pool you need to go to reception first as wasn’t the biggest fan of being in reception with my dressing gown- whilst this is a faff it supports guest safety Hotel was clean Breakfast looked good value - it’s cheaper to book the night before - but we had alternative plans so didn’t get to try it The hotel doesn’t have a carpark as is shown on their website but the long stay station carpark is literally next door

United KingdomNothing really.
Great location in the science park right by the station. Indeed we could see the platform from our room but the soundproofing was great so we couldn't hear the trains. Friendly helpful staff. Easy to get to the centre via train, or even better to take the long lovely walk along the river.
