Room was a bit dark and bed was on a raised floor section. This made it a bit awkward in ‘feeling’ your way down the steps in middle of the night! Experienced long waits to have food served in restaurant for evening meal.

The twin room beds were pushed together, so we separated them and put a bedside table between. It would have been better had that already been done. When we separated the beds it was clear that the section of floor that had previously been under the middle of the beds had not been vacuumed. Housekeeping were in the corridor so we asked them to vacuum the floor and it was done without an issue. The bath plug/soakaway seemed to need a clear-out, as I was standing in water the first time I showered because it was not draining fast enough. The rooms do seem a little tired.

The staff were excellent and very helpful - especially Luke on reception, who assisted us on the 'phone prior to arrival. The beds were wonderful. Extremely comfortable, with all-enveloping lovely duvets. The buffet breakfast was extensive, plentiful, and of great quality. Our room was quiet. The bar menu offered a good choice and the staff, again, were helpful and accommodating - housekeeping, reception, bar, restaurant, spa, and event staff, very personable and helpful. It was a lovely two-night stay. The attitude of the staff overall, was excellent and they gave the impression nothing was too much trouble. It made for a very easy and comfortable stay.

There's a pathway that's directly outside the outer wall and windows of some rooms on the ground floor whereby the passer-by can see into some rooms potentially.

Immaculate room, great facilities very difficult to find any fault or criticism. The huge plus for my time spent at the hotel was simply the service offered by the extremely helpful, professional and friendly staff. Laura at the reception assisted me with a room upgrade and even gave me the opportunity to view the room beforehand. A fantastic experience really underpinned by the superb staff.

The breakfast selection was very good, however the self service cooked breakfast items had been left to stand for too long and were dry. There were a few general repairs that could do with addressing. Our window was very stiff to open and close and a couple of lights were temperamental. it's slightly remote if you don't drive, nothing within walking distance.

The hotel was in a good location as long as you drive. Our room was quiet (as I'd requested) and was next to the Spa so ideally located. The staff were all helpful and cheerful and a minor issue we had with the tv in the room was resolved promptly within 15 minutes. The hotel and facilities were clean and the spa was available at a good range of hours. Plenty of parking and a 15/20 minute drive into Winchester and 2 miles to the nearest petrol station, shop and pub. We didn't eat in the hotel but the Coach and Horses pub is 2 miles down the road and does a range of very good food in large portions.

Difficult to criticise, hotel is a very nice place to stay

We very much enjoyed our stay, very comfortable, very good facilities, very beautiful site. We enjoyed using the swimming pool, car park well laid out. Excellent breakfast. Staff were excellent a particular thanks to Simon King ( I think I have his correct name ) at the front desk who moved us to a different room on the second day. The first room no 217 was noisy, it may have been the ventilation system which may have had a fault, or possibly from the spa facility, Whatever it was rattled quite loudly all night. The second room just along the corridor was perfect. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Would've been great to have a jacuzzi, but it wasn't stated so wasn't expected, but definitely room for one. We also went out for the day and the cleaners left our room unlocked on the latch which we came back to after being out for 6 hours, but the reception was very apologetic.

All the staff were very friendly and approachable. The bed was extremely comfortable! The pool facilities (sauna and steam room) were top notch. Would definitely recommend.

Cleanliness could have been better in the room as i found a couple of hair grips on the floor and I had to wash the cups as they were visibly dirty on the outside. I found the food not as hot as i would like it both at the evening meal in the bar and at breakfast. I do appreciate this can be difficult as busy times. I think extra napkins, butter, plates etc should have been brought out more quickly without having to ask. In the spa, as the changing room is small (female) and a separate private changing room available, i found i was not able to use it as it was used as a locker room with clothes, bag, robe etc left in there. Also towels and robe were left on the bench. Maybe a bin in the room would encourage people to deposit their towels after use.

Bed was comfortable, really good extra facilities in the room (safe and fridge), with a large screen tv and bottles of water provided and also biscuits! Bathroom was very clean and the shower was good. The spa area met expectations which is why we chose this hotel. Good choice at breakfast. The staff were helpful and after mentioning my evening meal wasnt hot enough on arrival, although tasty, i didn’t have to pay for my ice cream. This was unexpected but appreciated.

Food trays left along corridors . Food took ages to arrive. Replenishing breakfast items too slow. Cold coffee, cold hot water. Just felt that the hotel was struggling. No towels next to pool. I would still come back and try again.
