United KingdomThe mattress on our bed was uncomfortable, lumpy and old. We had already changed rooms because the mattress in the first room was also not good. All the large doubles are 2 singles pushed together which is also uncomfortable because you can feel the join under your back. Very odd - especially when our booking actually said our room would have one large bed. We also didn’t like the restaurant - very dark and dismal with no atmosphere and the food wasn’t great - an outside chain cook the food so the menu is exactly the same to many other restaurants we have been to recently and it’s just reheated. However, the hotel itself and the setting it’s in is lovely and the pool and spa are wonderful.

United KingdomRoom was a bit of a trek from reception / main facilities. Wouldn’t be great for someone who has issues walking a distance. Restaurant / bar prices quite high compared to similar in Winchester. Food wasn’t great, had fish & chips in bar area, both deep fried & chips very greasy. Ate it because couldn’t be bothered to go elsewhere but wouldn’t eat it again. Breakfast buffet hot offering had clearly sat under lights for a while, coffee wasn’t drinkable, juices were weak & lacked flavour.
All staff welcoming & professional, room was spacious, clean & comfortable. Easy to find the location, ample parking. Shower adequate. WiFi worked well. Convenient for Winchester, which was my location the following day.

All the staff we're lovely. The three room Suite in the manor house was superb. We felt as though we had the whole, 13 room, 17th century manor to ourselves. Nice touches like the complimentary mini-bar and espresso machine.

The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious and the buffet breakfast was nice and had everything we needed. As we are vegan, having a choice of oat milk, soya milk or almond milk at breakfast was great.

United KingdomThe twin room beds were pushed together, so we separated them and put a bedside table between. It would have been better had that already been done. When we separated the beds it was clear that the section of floor that had previously been under the middle of the beds had not been vacuumed. Housekeeping were in the corridor so we asked them to vacuum the floor and it was done without an issue. The bath plug/soakaway seemed to need a clear-out, as I was standing in water the first time I showered because it was not draining fast enough. The rooms do seem a little tired.
The staff were excellent and very helpful - especially Luke on reception, who assisted us on the 'phone prior to arrival. The beds were wonderful. Extremely comfortable, with all-enveloping lovely duvets. The buffet breakfast was extensive, plentiful, and of great quality. Our room was quiet. The bar menu offered a good choice and the staff, again, were helpful and accommodating - housekeeping, reception, bar, restaurant, spa, and event staff, very personable and helpful. It was a lovely two-night stay. The attitude of the staff overall, was excellent and they gave the impression nothing was too much trouble. It made for a very easy and comfortable stay.
