The beds were more of the hard side so it made sleeping difficult, a friend of mine used the shower and he said that there was barely any pressure from the shower. An issue with our room was that the window consisted of either closed, open half an inch or open all the way.

We were happy at how close the hotel was to Manchester Airport.

The room i was first put in smelt of fresh and stale cigarettes. I did move room which was slightly better. There were no other rooms I could be moved to after this though. There had been a large leak prior to my arirval as the carpet was soaked outside of the bathroom and the door frame wood had lost it's paint and was soft and rotting.

Staff were friendly and accommodating when informed about the state of the rooms.

The house and grounds looked a bit tired and unkempt. And there was no in-room wi-fi which we had expected. But despite first impressions everything else went very well.

Much more comfortable than I remembered. Convenient to be able to come and go from the annexe without going through the main house. Ample breakfast with excellent service.

The hotel is dated and would benefit from some modernisation and maintainace but served its purpose for a night before flying out of Manchester airport.

The hotel is easy to find and conveniently located close to the airport. Ideal for overnight before travel. The hotel is a good size and the room was adequate in size. The room had a fridge, microwave, and kettle.

Wasn't confident about how well it has been cleaned. There was something on the bathroom wall which looked like vomit, and the seal for the shower door has gone green.

We booked a superior double room and it was very spacious. The bed was comfortable. Nice view of the garden.

A little more attention could be / should be paid to maintenance, as the shower was deficient in the sense it took an age to warm up but, when it did, the thermostatic valve was clearly broken as the water was then scalding hot so really unusable as a shower.

Room was comfortable and well equipped with its own mini-fridge and microwave meaning that meals could be bought relatively cheaply at a supermarket and prepared in the room; so saving expense and time spent having to locate a suitable eating venue and travel to it. Check-in process was simple and speedy.

We stayed in the adjoining building. The rooms are ok. Clean enough. The room is very small with extremely thin walls. Could hear everything even low voices and the running tap of room next to us. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and pillows were very hard. I think even new mattress and bouncy pillows would make it feel like the luxury you want to show

The main part of the hotel is very beautiful and old world. Staff were helpful. Even though the room was very full, it does have everything you need including fridge. Microwave, hairdryer, ironing board and iron.

At one point there were police cars parked and an ambulance kinda of got spooked but it wasn’t anything serious. Breakfast there was a lady who made nice breakfast however on our last day Saturday breakfast was called tomatoes literally from the tin, eggs runny, toast not done however the gentleman did go back and make more well done toast for us. Overall it was so so.

The shower wasn’t cleaned and had mould at face height that you were forced to stand quite close to as the cubicle was not too big. The soap dispenser at the sink was also very hard to use as you had to squeeze very hard with both hands, and this was tricky - especially for those with limited strength in their hands.

Well signposted and the area where the reception was, was impressive. The accommodation we were directed to however was in the rather less appealing block at the rear.

A lot of stairs - no signs in corridors with room number directions, got lost a few times.

The pictures online are much older than as it is now. Very run down, overgrown and outdated. Looked alot more like a hostel than a hotel Also had to put up with the smell of cigarettes and weed (drugs) coming through our window as we had it open due to heat which was not acceptable if i could have got a refund i would have on that basis
