It was fine for our needs of visiting Oxford city centre and sightseeing.

    • Standard King Room

Room was very small not like on any of the pictures, broken toilet seat which was quite dangerous. One of the blinds in the window was broken and could open it. Checking in system did not work so had to phone up and get it reset, which was done fairly quickly. Pity there are no facilities to park at the property. The car park they suggest is a 24 hour one. We did not use the car to go into the city so cost us £31 to park for 2 days.

Great location tea coffee facilities clean, walkable distance to city centre and a comfy bed and good shower. Relatively quiet except for builders next door!

No staff at the property, digital check in which works very well, very nice bedrooms with en suites. We were down for a wedding weekend and didn't need a hotel, so these well appointed bedrooms were ideal.

The entryway with self check in was very small. There was another guest checking in when we arrived and they seemed to be having some trouble with the kiosk, so we had to wait outside for about 10 min

The location was excellent, close to the Botanical Gardens and on the bus route to the City Centre. There had clearly been a lot of effort and expense incurred in upgrading the property recently and the room was just lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the property was very quiet. The bathroom was modern, spacious and the shower was amazing

Fine place to stay in Oxford
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Standard King Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

I would have preferred to have an onsite host. I had a couple of issues that would have been easier and quicker to resolve if someone had been available to talk to. Also, my cell signal wasn't very strong in that area, which meant I couldn't use my phone in the building. The signal was better outside, I discovered later.

The room was comfortable and well equipped. It was spacious and very clean. A few issues I had were quickly solved. (The check in was easy except that my cellphone signal was not very strong there, so I couldn't access the email about checking in, so would have had an issue if I couldn't remember the booking code.)

Initially difficult to work out what to do when leaving but information now amended to make it clear. No clearing up of coffee/ tea tray after first day because no staff on site And confusion over which number to use to book in as it was not as indicated by the hotel

Very clean and comfortable . Staff very quick to sort out a problem . Lots of towels.

The place is very nice, in a "raw" garden located in the rear of the property we seen even a vixen family and a lot of squirels. It is not so far from the city center, still takes time for a walk there.

The room was not very clean, a lot of dust on the night stands and on the chair in the room and black hairs in the bed. Also the shower holder was broken and the toilet lid fell of the toilet every time you tried to put it down.

The bed was very comfortable and the room is big enough for a couple of nights, same as the bathroom which was comfortable as well! Very quick check in and the location price ratio was perfect!

Just a small thing: the 10 am check-out was a bit early, but we did have the option to arrange for a later check-out at a small fee.

The studio was perfect for our needs. It was a good size and was very clean. The kitchen was great for breakfast and snacks, and is well equipped if you want to cook more. The bathroom was big and the shower was great - lots of hot water. We liked the outdoor sitting area and would have used it if the weather had been better. The self check-in was intuitive and easy to use. The location is not that far of a walk from the High Street or Cowley Rd. and is close to a bus stop. We found it nice and quiet. We were able to arrange a check-in an hour earlier, which we appreciated. Communication with the property was clear and proactive. If we had a question they were very responsive. We would be happy to stay here again.

We knew the room we booked was a small room but was a little snugger than expected.

The location was quite good as although out of town slightly, the bus service is excellent with stops just outside the door.. The room was neat and clean and had everything we needed.

Little storage in room (Fine for overnight, but might be a problem for longer stays). No left-luggage facility. (Though was told there are luggage store facilities in Oxford.)

It's clean, comfortable and convenient for central Oxford. Rooms are stylish and well kept. Good shower.

A fridge would be useful and the kettle could do with a limescale cleaning. But these are trivial matters!

Ours was a compact but cosy room. But everything inside is modern, comfortable and tastefully decorated to a high standard. It's located a bit out of the city (20 minute walk) but we took the bus (5 minutes to the centre) which stops just outside the house, (you need numbers 3, 3A or X40). It's on a fairly main road but the house was pretty quiet when we stayed. The garden view is lovely and the bed is comfortable. It's a self check in, the machine issues your key card. I'd happily stay here again, something I don't often say!

Refreshments tray only had coffee or mint tea, the standard "English Breakfast" tea hadn't been restocked.

Immaculately clean room, comfy bed, well decorated, great views over gardens, peaceful and cosy on a cold weekend. Check in was very easy and efficient.

Really strongly dislike the fact that you cannot check in until 4pm (unless you pay £10/hr) yet must check out by 10am (6 hour turnaround?). 4pm is late for check in and all check ins are automated via a computer at the door (which is pretty cool actually) so what is this £10/hr paying for?! I honestly wouldn't have minded if the owner had said that we couldn't access the room earlier because eg. the cleaner is booked for a certain slot etc but the fact that you can for a price - especially such a high price - is, quite frankly, wrong. We found a couple of great apps: UseBounce, Radical Storage and Stasher which all allow you to store your luggage safely in the center of the city (multiple locations dotted around) for just £5 all day! We used Bounce, it was great.

Room was extremely clean, large comfy bed, communication with the owner was good, easy to check in, next to a bus stop so quick and easy access to the city.
