Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWhat a lovely place to stay. Immaculate presentation. Tea and coffee making facilities but also encouraged to use the kitchen if required. Large shower room, immaculate presentation. Excellent bedding and towels. Plenty of clothes hanging space. Parking is great on the drive. Hosts are welcoming and friendly. Really lovely people. Will use again if in Harrogate! Highly recommended.

United Kingdomwas not expecting a room in an occupied house - the location was described as a unit but was a bedroom with sole use of the bathroom and shared use of a kitchen and lounge. Got used to it and in fact we spent very little time there as we wanted accommodation to attend a family event but would not select it for a longer stay. Great for a couple of nights.

United KingdomNo. 18 is situated in a quiet cul de sac with a large parking area,, a short drive from the centre of Harrogate but within walking distance of shops and other facilities. Rachel & Stuart were lovely, friendly hosts who welcomed us to share their home as if it were our own. We only used the kitchen and dining room for breakfast and teas & coffee, and to store perishables in the fridge but all facilities were available to use as we wished. We had our own bathroom with large shower and also made use of the lounge with TV on one evening. The house was very clean and suited our needs.

United KingdomThe bedroom was small but comfortable with a separate bathroom. What made it better was the use of the lounge, dining room, and kitchen. The hosts live on site, but we didn't see them apart from when we were checking in and out. The house was very clean, tidy, and quiet. It is conveniently located to visit Harrogate and Knaresborough. Parking off road.

I like that the hosts were lovely and chatty and incredibly helpful in directing us to local travel spots and public transport. Everything was finished to a high spec I noticed and was a pleasure to stay there, will definitely use again, thanks so much!

United KingdomBeware- description of accommodation totally misleading. It says “all units have microwave, fridge, coffee machine and walk in shower. WRONG!! You have a room in a shared house! Bedroom absolutely tiny, in an attic room, totally claustrophobic. No telly in bedroom. You have to share the lounge, dining area and kitchen with other guests. Came down in the morning to the kitchen to hear snoring from the downstairs bedroom due to the bedroom door being left open. When taking the bags to the car, downstairs bathroom door wide open with a guy urinating in the toilet! £93 for the pleasure of one night for a room basically.

United KingdomWe did not realise that we shared the house with the owners so it was quite a shock when we arrived. The accommodation is described as ‘apartments’ which gives the impression of a self contained area rather than only the bedroom and bathroom. It is possible if only renting one room there could be other guests sharing the communal facilities. Have re-read the description and it is still vague and can see that there is a regular question asking if the accommodation is shared.
The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the hosts could not have been more helpful.
