There was nothing not to like! Welcoming, warm & spacious clean room. Booked for myself and my 15 year old daughter to spend the night here as a stop gap on our way to see family … my daughter was more than happy and said she would happily stay here again, and so would I. The room was large / very clean / very warm / nice clean furnishings etc etc … Claire is lovely, very welcoming and flexible to any needs / requirements. Absolutely perfect for us .. thank you 😊

no shaver / toothbrush socket in bedroom. toilet had deep stains to rear of toilet pan. strong smell of cooking although on top floor.

breakfast was excellent. bedding and bed comfort was superb, public area was delightfully decorated with style. location 5 min walk from town centre.

We was in room 1, which was near the entrance, kitchen and dining room. I didn't request a room as I was a last min booking and it was fine for us as I wake early anyhow..but if you do like a lie in I wouldn't book this one unless you couldn't manage stairs..just because you have noise from around 7.30. But as I said I wake around 7 so it was fine for me...only thing was the first night there was a really weird humming/buzzing coming through the wall from the dining room..a fridge running maybe?? My daughter was crying as it was so annoying she couldn't get to sleep till she was exhausted!!.and I put a pillow over my head!!! But because it was 9-10pm when we noticed it I thought it was too late to do anything about it and I believed the hotel was full anyhow to move rooms...it was just odd and continued throughout the night.... Any way the day after at night it stopped thankfully!!!! And had the best sleep ever!!!

Extremely clean and comfortable. Great location and staff wonderful. Had breakfast in the cafe as we was late up and it was amazing. Will definitely stay here again, but maybe a upstairs room....

Parking is by on the street by permit provided by the hotel, which allowed you to park for 3 hours only during 9-5. We used our car to go out and about, but could be more of an issue if you wanted to spend the day in Scarborough rather than going elsewhere.

Great property, amazing room with everything you need in it. TV allowed you to log into your own streaming apps which is always useful, Staff friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful and so big couldn’t eat it all. Highly recommend staying here.

Unfortunately our room was Room 1, ground floor and near to kitchen, dining room and cafe. Not ideal if you wanted a lie in as were woken up at 7.15/7.30 with staff carrying out their duties/talking and then guests having breakfast from 8am. This isn’t a complaint but just don’t think it’s a good location to have a bedroom

I was expecting to pay for the hotel when I arrived or next morning in person, but payment was taken the morning of the day I was setting off. Not a problem, but I was going to opt to pay on a different card.

Collection of keys from lockbox made it very easy when arriving late. Free parking discs were a bonus

We arrived a little late, The information was great on how to enter the property, and we got in with ease, a lovely big room with a massive bed (room 7) fully equipped with everything you would need. Breakfast was well worth having, all fresh quality produce with a lovely cup of coffee which was barista style. We paid for the 2 day permit so parking down the side street or out front if you were lucky.... we were. I could fault anything here and would 100% book to stay here again.

Great location, easy parking, very clean with excellent housekeeping and a fab breakfast! All staff were friendly and helpful, couldn't have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Lovely walk with great views, from the hotel to the seafront. Great facilities in room and very well presented throughout, attention to detail with very good quality linen and towels. These guys know their onions, excellent value!

There was nothing that we did not like about this place.

Well, what can I say? Rowntree Lodge was a very welcoming place to stay, just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to travel to other places on our weeks stay. Rooms checked and cleaned every day, very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book again to stay here.
