Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very comfortable and well appointed. Great attention to details such as small shelves either side of the basin for sponge bags etc. Lovely breakfast provided in the room. Pete had plenty of time to talk us through the local area when we arrived and explained everything about the room and en-suite. Very good communication about the property beforehand too.

Everything was spotless, and the DIY breakfast selection was yummy, including home made bread and some cake on arrival. Good to have easy parking in Lyme too. Pete and Diane were great - friendly and helpful with loads of local knowledge and suggestions for walks and a lunch spots, but not intrusive. The garden was lovely too, shame the Dorset spring weather didn't allow for sitting out in it!

Breakfast choice is very good. The location is out of town but the hosts do not try to hide this fact and it is a lovely walk down to town with cheap taxi fare back if required. Avery nice garden at your disposal.

the property was in a fabulous location with a car parking space and the beach within a walkable distance. the room was accessible via an external set of stairs and entrance via the back so you felt very separate which was good. the room was a great size, kept very clean and with a delicious breakfast!

United KingdomNothing. I guess a TV was an obvious omission, but we weren’t in the room enough to miss it really - too busy enjoying Lyme Regis. Unlike a hotel, you need to recognise that you’re living in someone’s home, and so there are some small preferences to observe ( like removing your shoes when you come in, and using the slippers they provide) but that was no different than we would do in our own home. However might be an irritation to some guests.
Lovely room. Lovely hosts. Great facilities (loads of different teas, coffees etc; fridge with water, orange juice, milk, yoghurts etc). Very comfy bed. Nice view from the room. Well appointed bathroom.
