The parking space was much appreciated but very tight due to another larger vehicle being parked.Fortunately we’d only brought a small-ish car. There are a lot of steps up to the apartment, so difficult with mobility issues. One en-suite sink didn’t have hot water on our visit.

Separate bedrooms, 2 with en-suite toilet & sink. Comfortable lounge. Good cooking facilities. Very clean. Excellent location. A very useful guide provided by our host.

We liked everything, very comfortable, super clean, well located, easy check in, very accommodating. Snacks (crips, biscuits and milk) were very appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped. In summary we had all we needed.

Very homely in a good location which was perfect for working away but equally would be great for a holiday also the provision of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and breakfast cereal was a nice touch.

Some of the fixtures are tired, and while functional, they don't work 100%. One of the rooms had a skylight in the roof which gave great light in the day but there was no obvious way to shut out the light and as a result I woke up very early each day.

The place had separate toilets and sinks for each room as well as a main bathroom which was really handy. There were 2 double rooms which was what we really wanted.

I wouldn't say didn't like it, ofcourse it's a penthouse so expect stairs to walk up, can be tiring on a tiring day of cycle all day for us haha but all good not complaining. Heating could be slightly better, I understand the heating is turned certain time of days and it's a big house so takes time to reach all the way up, electric small heater was provided, would be great to have 1 or 2 more as I didn't want to disturb the landlord alot about turning heating on or something but still good stay the heating didn't put me off from staying for 4 nights, still recommend and who knows might come back in summer and choose this accomodation again

House was good location close to the ferry transport so very convenient for us to easily reach house with bike and luggage, easy private access was great, it was 3 people and we love privacy so ofcourse was good on that sense, close to bus stops, close to town side of grocery shops, lots of pubs and bars lots of facilities. We could park our bikes indoors which was great benefits as my bike was very expensive and weather conditions were also rainy so a good plus for that, toilets in every room is always a bonus! Shower was amazing with hot water facilities and water pressure, great amount of utensils, washing machine provided, dishwasher also for convenience so it was great stay, we all really really enjoyed the stay overall honestly we could even cook proper good meals on a small hob Overall I would definitely recommend if your looking for a good accomodation with easy access to everything and close to ferry ports

The living area is small but would easily fit 4 or 5 people in if needed. Nothing in particular. People with mobility problems or disabled people might not be able to access as you have to climb few flights of stairs. However I did notice that there was a lift opening directly into the flat which if operational might need special access and permission from hosts. If group of friends sharing but coming in multiple cars, then parking could be an issue.

The lovely home was only a 15 min ride inclusive of 10 min waiting time across the floating bridge from the Red Funnel ferry docking site. It is a 5 min walk to the high street and local shops. The 3 bed top floor flat was newly refurbished as stated. All the 3 bedrooms were very modern, spacious, had comfortable cozy bed/mattress with an ensuite WC. One of the bedrooms had two separate single beds ideal for the kids. There was a spacious common bathroom with hot shower, clean fresh towels, toiletries. The open plan kitchen with dining table, TV, comfy sofa and chairs was fully equipped with clean utensils and kitchenware, refrigerator, combined washing machine with dryer, electric stove, toaster etc. All in all a lovely holiday home. It was a pleasant surprise as our host was very thoughtful in keeping a flower vase with fresh cut flowers in both the lounge and master bedroom, welcome lagers, bottle of wine apart from bread, milk, butter, cereals, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, cooking oil. It felt like a home away from home.

That we could not control the heating. If the owners turn the heating of it got really cold. We had to keep sending messages to get it put back on. The fire alarm that went off, it was a test but we were not warned beforehand. The kitchen is very small and the windows in the living room don't open.

The apartment was really clean, the beds were amazing, the bed clothes and towels were the best quality. Lots of space for 2 people. Great location with parking.
