The outside space let it down as there wasn't sufficient comfortable seating, and no shade provided. The top floor bedroom was very hot and no fans provided.

Lack of communication between owner and cleaning staff. Despite many times advising the owner for the Z bed in the study to be made up, this did not happen. Upon speaking to owner on day of arrival, her advise was disconcerting and not correct. So improvised. Then email sent that night regarding another bedroom that was not made right, to which no response was ever received, and a purchase had to be made the next day. Also small details in the kitchen were lacking, I.e. salt&pepper.

Location. Immaculate interior. Very tastefully decorated. Lovely views, especially 1st floor lounge. Also comfortable seating in 1st floor lounge.

Perfect house and location for a family gathering. Plenty of space so we didn't feel on top of each other. Bonus to have a hot tub and two parking spaces in the town center. Even parked 3rd car easily out the front of the property.

Minor wear and tear- A few damp patches on walls in various rooms which reflect the age of the property. Didn't impact overall decor/feel. Very wonky wobbly taps in kitchen which made us nervous incase they came off! Water leak and rubbish on front path.

Fantastic decor, really lovely ambiance. Super clean (especially bathrooms which were also modern and beautifully decorated) Host was very helpful. Location is incredible- 2 min walk from promenade! Air hockey was great. Kitchen incredibly well equipped (we wished we had brought coffee pods). QD is round the corner if you have forgotten anything and so handy for basics- we nipped out and bought plastic wine glasses for the beach. Loads of space for a group of friends: 2 huge living rooms. Hot tub was lovely- clean, small decking and seating area perfect for night time gathering. We can't WAIT to return! It was amazing

The only downside was the doors were quite old so kept getting stuck in the toilets upstairs!

It was beautifully decorated throughout, full of charm and character, immaculately clean, fantastic facilities, all bedrooms were so tastefully done. Hot tub was lovely, and the whole house was very well equipped.

A family group of 9 stayed here for my mums 70th birthday and everybody loved the house. It was beautifully decorated with lots of character. The location was excellent and within a stones throw of the sea-front. Parking was available for 2 cars with lots of car parks nearby for any extra cars. Host responded quickly to any questions and recommended a fabulous restaurant.

It was advertised on booking.com as a seven bedroom house & it’s a six bedroom house. (5 good sized rooms & one study room with a fold down bed)

When we arrived at the property it was filthy, the floors were not clean, there was green mould in the hot tub, grease all over the appliances, windowsills and countertops in the kitchen, old dried food in the cutlery drawer and on other surfaces. The fridge was also not clean and had food left in it. The baby’s legs were black with dirt within minutes of her crawling on the floors. Added to this, the property was advertised as 7 bedrooms, but actually only had 5 and a small box room with a z-bed in it. There was no bed linen provided for this bed. The hot tub was green when we arrived and so someone had to come out and clean it, he was there for a couple of hours when we should have been enjoying the garden and patio are also meaning we couldn't use it for 24 hours as it was cold. This was very disappointing as it was the main reason we decided to book the property in the first place. He also was parked in the parking spaces at the rear of the property meaning we had to pay to park elsewhere until he left. I immediately messaged the host, who apologised profusely and said she would rectify the issues and issue us with a full refund for the first night’s stay as compensation, which we accepted. She sent two teenage boys over to clean the kitchen floor again the following afternoon (which we’d already done as it was too dirty for the baby to be crawling on) and some linen for the bed that my daughter had had to sleep in without any the first night. She later decided that she wouldn’t refund us any longer and in fact now is asking for compensation for providing cleaners and linen! The house should have been clean when we arrived and had enough linen for all the beds in the first place. I would definitely avoid staying here, it's a real shame as the location is great and it could be lovely if it was handled properly.
